It’s a lot of info but missing a summary, preferably a visual with ratings. Personally, I don’t use commanders that are not maxed during KvK but always appreciate your opinion. Last time I used 5511 commander was Leonidas 2 years ago, and only in a canyon mode 😅

the droprate on the old gold key commanders was way higher when there were less to be had. ive been in a high A seed alliance for most of my rok life which is coming up on 1000 days and my CM isnt close to expertised. its quite irrelevant how many CM heads an old player like you Omniarch have since you got them way more frequently than a new player will. Only way to get any proper use out of CM at all is to use universals on him and that is a fact today. nobody will grind gold chests for 4 years and then start to use CM in SoC. If you want to use him, invest in him early, else just forget him.

Exactly, CM is very useful but you need to invest into him or win his mges or he will stay weak for a long time. Way past when he is useful and could have helped your kd win kvk1. There is too many things in gold keys these days.

I totally agree mate im in 2978, and i made the decision at the beginning on this account life to get charles to 5511 then go all in on YSG, after YSG ill save for SoC commanders and expertise whoever is meta at that time (ideally Scipio) I think another alternative to using charles is saving GHs and doing this same concept with Alexander instead of Charles, getting Alex to 5511, expertise YSG then save for SoC

How close isn't close? I think there is also somewhat a degree of luck to factor in too. I have been playing ROK myself for around 700 days (723 to be precise) and have managed to get my CM to 5515; pretty much all of his value, other than his useless watchtower skill and expertise. And this has been without any legendary statue investment. I also managed 5515 without the need of a single skill reset, which I found somewhat jammy! 🙃😝

I'm about 900 days and mines 5545.. I didn't invest many heads less than 30. For awhile I was getting him and his gold heads back to back but the last few months it slowed down

I know it's an investment guide, but people sleep on Leo primary Alex secondary. I don't argue it's meta, but for account in transition it's a much better combo then people would give credits for. In my case, it allows me to keep Guan-Scipio together with my best Infantry gear, including a horn and ring - If I have a 2nd of each for my second inf march I would split Guan and Scipio. However, allows you to have a tanky support march, aoe damage, aoe debuf with internal rage engine, damage boost and damage debuff immunity. It's either make a trap for peoples to target and let the DPS marches blast their way through, and if not, well it trades very well. I use a wardrum and epic inf speed accessories so it's not as slow with Alex as people would think. My 2 cents for a 2 infantry march transition account ;)

Putting sculps on leo even if is 5511 is a big waste. If you can slap a 5511 mehmed (gold keys) than a mge commander. And you rather do 5511 on a commander you gonna max scipio nevsky boudica joan new archer? Even guan 5155 (if lucky) ir nebu 5515

@@ramos_pinho117 As clearly mentioned, from a todays GH spending Leo is not worth it. But when your account is 1k+ days old, Leo 5511 was invest a LONG time ago! The why I said it's a good "Transition" solution ;) In my 5 march murder ball on Leo, William and Artemisia are not maxed (5511-5553-5523) and only rising them from Heart desire event.

I’m running some minimum viable marches on my alt this KvK. 5511 Nevsky/5511 Joan, 5551 Boudica/5555 YSG, 5111 Guan/5511 Scipio, 5511 XY/5511 William. Gonna fk around and find out at pass 4 opening on Wednesday.

i had maxed leo and benched already.. at this rate Leo is outclassed but still useful for a player still in transition their marches.. i still use it sometimes if i missed him 😂

I feel like gold keys have gotten too rare at giving gold key commanders, they need to at least take all non epic and legends out of the pool. Even after playing for 120 days I still have gold key commanders at 3111. This is after close to 2k gold keys from purchases and events. At that rate it will take years to even get 5511 on then with no investment. Which is kind of unfortunate.

Nevsky is a must to expertise. You can do joan later. While doing that you can actually pair nevsky with ysg, mehmed, or aethelfled with museum buff.

Heraclius is mostly guarrison and he is mge. Mehmed by the time you get to soc you will have him 5511. And mge spots will either go for guarrisson leads or the whales/kraken. Not for the people still struggling using 5511 commanders

If lilith added a mechanic to prime epics to become viable legendaries then at the very least a f2p could survive SoC a little. The epics drop off too early. The early legendaries drop off too early. By the time either are viable theyre overpowered by new releases
