After an embryo transfer, everybody has this question doctor ”What do I really do to improve my chances of success ? Do I need to eat this or avoid that or do I need absolute bed rest?" These are questions that they usually come up with. Bed rest is definitely not required. What you require is physical and mental rest, stressful activity should be avoided, be it physical or mental. You can rest at home, you should have a good environment, a cheerful environment around you. Most important is you have all your medicines in time, be it the injection, the pessaries, the timing should be maintained and of course good nutritious diet helps in leading to a good embryo and implantation, none of the food needs to be avoided as such. But avoid having spicy, oily food because this can lead to acidity and then you may require more medicines to be had ad avoid having food from outside. So you should not end up having a upset tummy. Definitely one should avoid smoking and drinking at this time. Caffeine should be kept as minimum as possible.
