I am a professional voice-over artist, and I've been experimenting with this service for some time now. Kevin, from my professional standpoint, your synthesized voice is quite similar to your real one. It may seem different to you because it's rather emotionless, with the even intonation of a professional narrator, which is usually not typical for you. Additionally, people often hear their own voices differently than they sound in recordings. If you simply reduce the upper voice adjustment slider to below 50%, your synthesized voice will become more similar to your real one. Also, adding as many high-quality samples of your actual voice as possible will help increase the "similarity".

Agreed, after trying out several speech to text programs, this one from Eleven Labs is the best one out there for realistic sounding voices. The program does analyze each sentence and create heightened inflections within the sentence on key words and key phrases to sound just right, plus it analyzes the mood based on the choice of words in the sentence and punctuation.

It's also best to point out that they charge your character quota per-request, not per download. This means that every time you click ‘Generate’, you will incur the character cost of your request. So if you're using the free version and you added 3000 words and generated 3 times, you'll have to go for the paid version the next time you generate. or wait for another month. Good software though :)

I like elven labs but there is an issue and that is the lack of being able to tell the AI where to pause with out having to use a lot of spaces or ... if you were to add that feature (which a lot of AI voice services already have that build it) it would really make ElvenLabs shine

This seems to be legit! 🤩 A few questions, though: what if I wanted to make an AI voice similar to that of, say, the late Miguel Ferrer, who voiced Shan Yu, the Disney Villain from Mulan (the 1998 animated Disney film), using some of his audio/lines from that film? Would you know if that might infringe on some sort of copyright? And, what if the stuff I would produce with said material was merely for fun (as in, I didn't make any money off of it)? I know these might seem like silly questions, and it might seem like I'm somewhat clueless about this, but I just wanted to be sure before I tried this sort of thing. This could be a game-changer in the TTS world where one could no longer be able to differentiate between an AI generated voice or a human one. I’m trying to find a voice that I keep hearing everywhere. That is clearly AI. But it is very well done. Now that I hear it everywhere, I have to rely on the quality of the content to carry it through because the voiceover is pretty good. However, I am much quicker to not listen to the content when a specific voice comes on. I came here to find it, but it was not here. The first time I heard it was on a KZbin channel that was talking about the most violent gang initiations, and I didn’t even realize it, but it appeared as if they used some AI to do the entire video. Including the B roll, which the whole movie was brill

I love eleven labs but the problem is that every time you generate a voice, it reduces your max capacity. if you wanna decide which sound settings is best for you please do it with a couple of sentences

That's exactly what I noticed too. The "total quota remaining" kept dropping. I personally that it should start counting AFTER we export the file. Otherwise, how will we know that we're getting the result that we want?!

All of my short video files are over 10 MB. Ive tried to export them in 480p , low resolution and theyre still 37mb. The software only takes 10mb or smaller but wants more than 5 minus worth. Im having to clip all of my videos to 30 seconds or less for them to go under 10bm which will take forever to do over 5 mins worth for each video. Is there any easier way? Thanks!!

This is the second time I’ve watched a video that someone claims a nearly perfect text to speech AI is now available. Then they play the voice, and I admit it’s pretty good, but not nearly 100% authentic. It’s about 80% there. Then they go through the whole explanation of how things work at the site, and in both cases, get to the point in the site where they can recreate their own voice. They go through the process, and the voice ends up sounding about 80% right, but not nearly 100%. Then there’s the recognition that this really isn’t all that perfect. Seems like people can only hear the flaws in text to speech when hearing their own voice. It’s definitely better than about any other voice used in KZbin videos already being released, but no, it doesn’t sound human, and I’d be annoyed to listen to an entire audiobook with an AI voice instead of a real person. It doesn’t cut it. And does any AI allow you to correct mispronounced names or other words? Technical texts and names are usually a problem for AI pronunciation. Just ask AI to read a newspaper article.

ive been trying to find something of the sorts that i can use to use my voice into text then have a personalized chatgpt react to the message based on personality settings (i already have the personalized chatgpt part) then send it back in a learned voice from a sample mp3 but this doesnt look like i can integrate anything to it if you could make a video on how to do this entirely i think alot of people would enjoy it because most tutorials ive found either are too outdated or dont give a clear enough tutorial i like the way you setup your tutorials being mostly strait forward and walks the viewer through EVERY step i think this could be beneficial to me and other people if you could find something that works or even make a program that allows the user to set the directory to a sample mp3/ogg/wav or anything of the sorts then does all of the rest
