At the end of the video, it says CFM should be at least 20, experts say 50. All of the units here are rated at about 2.5 CFM. I'll search elsewhere for recommendations.

Strange video. On one hand it’s stated using a pancake compressor at 2.1 scfm is great! On the other hand the video states that you should use a compressor that has 20-50 scfm to blow out your irrigation system. Which one is it? There are no retail compressors under 1000.00 that have 20 scfm.

Yeah, thumbs DOWN on this thing.

It all depends on how many GPM your zones are and how many zones you do at the same time. If you can calculate the GPM for each zone and divide it by 7.5 you can calculate the CFS required. For instance I have 5 zones with each zone roughly 15 GPM. If I wanted to blow out all zones at once I would need 10 CFS. I blow out each zone independently so in this case I only need to achieve 2 CFS and a 10 GAL or even 6 GAL will be fine it will just take longer doing each zone independently.

6 gallons is large capacity?

6 gallon compressors do not have the volume to blow out a sprinkler system properly. it will work but not the right one. I do it professionally and use a 20 gallon compressor with a second 20 gallon tank, my second compressor is a 30 gallon unit.

Anywhere you have to use AI for the voice, it's a bad video. And the idea that you need a special compressor is just extra expense. Just use you normal compressor and take breaks per zone. Or you can spend extra money as in this video.
