love it guys! I trade 2% of my overall capital on 0DTE and the results for the past month have been highly encouraging (25'th Jan to 24'th Feb) I trade credit spreads/Condors and my goal is to make 10% of my BPR (E.g 50 for 500 used) and I'll sell later in the day. I put on multiple positions on either side and aim to make USD 200 per day. I've put on 50 trades during that time with 2 loses. Extrapolating this out over a year bodes very very well.

@@turboaram1970 I agree with waiting for some initial movement. There is surprisingly minimal theta decay between 8am (PST) and 11am. Specifically with institutional manipulation, the current frequent fed and CPI data, waiting for overall sentiment makes a lot of sense.

These tasty studies are interesting but they usually don't reflect how real practitioners are trading. Trading Odte options is a scalper's game, and scalpers are using TA, order flow data, etc, and are not blindly entering at the open, but are entering based on TA, or entering around known scheduled news events, etc. One thing you'll never hear Sosnoff talk about is TA.
@morphoabassor
@morphoabassor Жыл бұрын
well TA is astrology. it doesnt mean shit. just last Thursday SPY was up 0.80% at open then down for the rest of the day 1.20% the made a come back and was up 0.80% and closed + 0.52%. now explain how your astrology could have predicted this. Friday they tanked market 1.20% in premarket and spend all day down between 1.20 and 1.60% and closed down 1.3% with some attempt of reversal. most astrology guys lost money on Friday thinking market will have a comeback just like Thursday. just admit it. astrology is luck . it gives you little and takes from you a lot

0DTE is one of the tools I use in my daily trading day. I realize this is the first episode but being someone that has used 0DTE trades over an extended period of time, new comers need to be award that a 0DTE is not a static trade. That's what makes them so difficult to back-test and model. I use them by selling premium in a swing trade fashion by fading past action. I generally don't enter before 10:30 EST and get out before 3:00 EST. I use verts and proper sizing to manage risk. All-in-all, this is not for the part time trader. 0DTE is only for screen zombies.

The best profitable way to play 0dte is scalping short after the market goes vertical every morning at open after gapping up every morning. Just jump in for 3 mins on the downturns, literally 3 minutes only during the downturn which is usually only 50 cents to a dollar before a scamdle and SPY continues to pump. Also play 0dte calls at open everyday right alongside the scummy hedgefunds while they manipulate the markets. Small position size only & welcome to the casino degens 🎰

They’re wrong about retail being the reason for increase volume in 0dte. Regular people do not have the volume to move the needle at all. t’s actually institutions that have switched from 30 days hedging to daily hedging now with daily spx options. For those who can withstand the variance and risk of ruin, then its a viable option (rare traits). 3. I check the impending news and if it’s a red news item I stay flat and let it pass. Check the daily candles. Check to see if there is a trend or range. Check the /es futures. Determine the range of the first 15 minute candle. Consider a gap. Check the volume profile of the spy and the anchored vwap. By 9 central time I lay into a spread on SPX and manage it. After noon consider another spread or a spread on the opposite side. If price is 30 points from any short strike with an hour to go I let it ride and save the roll out expense. So far so good. I sense that 0DTE is likley very useful as a tool when everything is trending a certain direction rapidly - FEB 2018 volmageddon for example. I will do a bit of research on that. On that day in 2018 buying UVXY on the open was a double. I have read all three of Jeff Augen's books based on pinning a strike for the market makers move in the monthlies. This is old theory. It will be great to see whatelse the tasty team thinks up - clever young minds that they are... Without a day like Volmageddon, it is difficult to spot the trend. Anton stated in an older video that this wasw a great TSLA play. I would like to hear him expand on that.

@@davidlowe8597 Pull up SPX on Trade Tab on the TOS platform. Expected Move (EM) is on the far right hand side for each expiration cycle. For example, for May 1 expiration cycle, IV is 14.90%, but EM is (+/- 27.596). Translated : SPX has an EM of 27 points, up or down for Monday, May 1st. U good now? :)

So it isn't worth scalp trading a very short time interval using 0 DTEs, similar to using triple leveraged ETFs? Let's say for 5-6 bips?

I wouldn't be bragging about coining the phrase "zero DTE", it's bloody unreadable and inconsistent with your own 45 DTE, 21 DTE, etc. terms. Not to mention that EVERYONE else uses "0 DTE" because it is succinct, meaningful, consistent, etc.!!!
