Fun fact: the makers didn't have a permit to shoot the car chase scene, so they had to stick to the speed limit. Quite a lot of scenes were shot without a permit actually.

The last shot of the burn patient at the s end of the fire shows his face and head untouched. At the glorified dental office his head is covered with bloody towels. I’m assuming the head injuries happened on the way to the dental office. But no IV, no oxygen, no heart monitor etc. I guess they knew they were going to chop off his head so why bother. Also the first time I’ve seen the hospital trash can switcher wearing a pretend lab coat.

Samurai Cop has so much more to it. Actual ''layers''. I encourage anyone interested to check out the interview with the main actor and/or search for some official info. 2 main ''layers are''; 1. In A LOT of scenes where you see his partner react and vice versa, there would usually be only one of them on set and they did not have a chance to react or do the scene with each other. So basically someone would plainly read ones lines and the other one ACTED out the scene and they put it in the movie. You can actually hear his partners audio added in post production in the car chase scene. A lot of ''inserted audio voices'' belong to the director himself... 2. After the movie was done- it was ....not done. Months after the filming ended , the director decided to make changes. So some scenes were absolutely not in the original script (if it even had one in the first place). The main actor, Matthew Karedas, naturally, cut his hair so in those scenes he wears a wig. And you can spot it , hence the scenes aswell, PRETTY easily. And hell , here's a bonus one; 3. EVERY scene was made during daytime. Because the director, Amir Shervan, did not have the budget for lighting to shoot at night.

I watched some interview with the actor who played samurai cop and the scenes where he is where the ridiculous hat on top of his mop of hair was a wig. They either had to redo or shoot entire new scenes after filming was done and the actor had already cut his hair. I love it It's so damn awful it's awesome. It's actually harder in my opinion to make a bad movie that is good because it's so bad, than to just make an average level movie. Bravo

Oh man, if you are in such movies, Samurai Cop is fun, but there is a whole another level :) Have a look at "Hard ticket to Hawai" (i am not even sure of what the title means). The car chase scene is... a whole another level. Also Black ninja... About a senegalese cop that is also a ninja, doing drug enforcement stuff in France with his yellow ninja suit (with a bandana on which NINJA is written). In both movies, the level of absurdity and incoherence is trhough the roof. If Samurai Cop is a low budget low quality telefilm, those two would be some kind of seagal movie. Except that those guys are bad, but they are trying, which makes it all the funnier.
