Long time no see! I have tried a few BDK scents and I definitely want a full bottle of Rouge Smoking (the juice in that bottle is so beautiful). I'll treat myself to it for my birthday lol. I smelled Bouquet de Hongrie and I liked it but I'd be fine with a decant or travel size perhaps.

Tubereuse imperiale really reminds me of amouage love tuberose… while amouage’s is more whipped cream-y and lactonic, bdk’s is more sweet floral and more heavy on the ylang ylang

Rouge Smoking is my favorite as well. And as a man, I wear and love Pas Ce Soir in summer. Nuit de Sable was my least favorite in the line. I loved Wood Jasmin. I liked, but didn’t love Crème de Cuir. Gris Charnel I did love. I find it odd you didn’t mention the iris note, as that’s the standout note to my nose, but in the top, the fig is too strong for me. The drydown is beautiful though. The thing I love about Wood Jasmin (apart from the plum-I love plum!) is this odd note that has a cooling effect that spans the life of the wear. It’s like Eucalyptus or something slightly mentholic. Love that! I didn’t try Velvet Tonka or Tabac Rose yet, but those seem like fragrances I’d love. I also wanna try the blue bottle line of summer freshies (Citrus Riviera, etc.) I enjoyed your take on these. Thanks!

I have velvet tonka and Gris charnel in my collection and I absolutely love them!!! Gris charnel is my fav out of the two, just love the cardamon, tea, fig and sandalwood!!❤️❤️ Great vid I have to get my hands on rouge smoking as well!!

Crème de Cuir is absolutely amazing, but leans masculine IMO. Pas Ce Soir and Gris Charnel and GC Extrait are amazing as well. I’m a straight male and I love wearing Pas Ce Soir and ladies love it when I wear it as well. Highly recommend.

Hi! I had purchased Gris Charnel but got rid of it. There was a sharp note that I couldn't put my finger on it plus it smelled a little after shavish to me but in the air I smelled sweet fig and tonka bean which I loved but the sharpness was getting to me. Would you have any idea what that sharpness is?

I would say it’s either coming from the spicy cardamom or the slightly green herbaceous tea note. Do you think it might be either of those two? I don’t personally get the after shave scent but I know you are definitely not the only one who gets that from this fragrance (some also get it from Versace Crystal Noir which is another sandalwood fragrance). Ah, yes, i have heard that some people can be sensitive and bothered by ambroxen. I know, it’s unfortunate when we find a fragrance we really like except for one aspect of it that bugs us.

Nice observation! I do find them to be very different but both really beautiful fragrances. Gris Charnel is definitely predominantly a sandalwood fragrance though Indigo does share that fig + tea + cardamom (I'm now kind of surprised they don't smell more alike 😅).

Hi Daniela! I think a decent amount of people find Gris Charnel leans too masculine. I myself find it perfectly unisex but it's one of those that I think needs to be individually tested for this reason.

Hi Tommaso! I haven't tried that one unfortunately yet , but based on the notes and similarly rated fragrances - Do Son seems to be a much more linear, pure tuberose fragrance - more green, fresh, and perhaps photorealistic. Tubereuse Imperiale is a very rich more multifaceted type of tuberose fragrance because it has a lot ylang (yellow floral) and still has other floral touches to it as well (jasmine and iris) as well as a rich vanilla and woody base. So, they do seem to be quite different. I'd encourage you to maybe sample them both to see if you have a preference - I find that tuberose lovers often love those pure tuberose fragrances but that some people find them to be too much and prefer a more rounded out balanced tuberose fragrance mixed with other notes. Personally I love tuberose, so I love both types of fragrances. 😁
