I've lived in AZ my whole life and I love it here. It does have its flaws tho like the heat buts Arizonans embrace that or they just get in a pool (which everyone has). This is not helpful. It's rather what "areas" to raise a child. For example living in the metropolitan Virginia area of D.C. is vastly different than Appalachian areas of Virginia. You can apply this to almost any state. In other words look for the best areas not best state to live in.

I visited all 50 states. More than any other state New Mexico exceeded my expectations. Great museums, caves, historical sites, a Native American sold me a handmade Native American doll. Ten dollar lap dances in the city, the quality and prices make it best in the nation. Need I say more?

I live in DC and go to college in Ohio and the difference in safety and overall kindness of individuals is shocking. In DC, more kids die than adults and there is a lot of crimes and rude people. In Ohio I only hear of a few crimes and people are kind. It's a diverse and loveable place I recommend it, as I am the epitome of a minority (black Latina).

Texas and California are said to be opposites, but they're also extremely similar. California is the Liberal Capitol of America. Texas is the Conservative Capitol of America. They're both the 2nd and 3rd largest states in the country. They're both the 2 biggest state economies. They're both the 2 most populated states in the country. They both have tons of major cities. They both have deserts. They seem to have more similarities then differences. Personally, I see Texas as the cheaper newer Cali. California had it's day, now it's Texas' turn. :P

VlogSmith I've lived in Southern and Eastern New Mexico for most of my life. There are definitely some impoverished communities, but there are also many towns that are thriving. People really underestimate the benefits of raising children in a small town. As long as there is a good school (there are some top ranked ones in the South) and you can secure a good job, a small New Mexico town is a great and safe place to raise a family.

I live in Minnesota, most people would hate it here, but if you want a cheap place to live, and if you want a job, its the place to be. I could get hired at near every place in my area tomorrow....I could work 24/7. I turn down 90% of jobs offered to me. I literally get offered jobs that I don't apply for. Minnesota winter weather will damn near drive you insane though. Most people can't handle the cold, and our winters are getting colder and colder, with more snow. When it snows, you have to work...if you live in the country, you will really work, and you need to be prepared. You need a plow truck, salt, generator or generators, backup heat, food stock, emergency supplies, etc. You get stranded in the sticks in a blizzard with 50 below wind chills, you could die.

That's why I don't like living here. I am not as successful as most other young Californians even though I try my hardest. People literally criticize me for not being as successful as many other students while they praise the others. I know I should stop being so self-centered and stop comparing myself to others, but it's hard when other students are getting respect and I'm not. I am not stupid. Californians are just freakishly smart. I needed tons of therapy and Special Ed classes when I was younger while everyone else had advanced classes. I did, however, graduate high school with a 3.7 GPA, maintain A's and B's, and was able to do second-grade level math in kindergarten. I'm sorry or being self-centered.

I’m personally in a oilfield family as most in Colorado would be, and there’s a crap ton of protest about it, but still. the beach. You have the option to go to the beach every week or every day if you'd like(depends in which part you live). The tropical weather which is a bit similar to weather from the caribbean islands. There is diversity among people. I mean there is not just white or black or hispanics. Its mixed. Education is ok. Housing is expensive in south florida, not sure about the north or central part. Food is expensive. Traffic congestion is common in south florida. Overall, coming from a hispanic country myself, i like south florida because it is a bit similar to my home country and can't imagine myself living far from the ocean or in any other state. If ill move somewhere else it would be california like in the south though.
