We really love cruising the Caribbean in September. Cruise insurance is a definite must, but one thing to keep in mind is several travel insurance providers will only cover hurricanes if the hurricane has not been named prior to purchasing travel insurance. This was something we ran into in 2017 because we waited too long to purchase travel insurance.

We cruised the Eastern Caribbean in February 2016. The water was calm and crowds low. It was perfect.

We like to cruise late October into November and the week after Thanksgiving. Weather is good and it’s less crowded.

Great video. I worked in the Caribbean for 8 years and the weather happens. Your best advice is to be flexible. Passengers paid for a boat ride, where it goes is options.

I don’t like Jan-Feb cruises because the water seem to be colder and choppy. My best time is Oct-Nov, especially around the Halloween. I’ve been pretty lucky with it.

We love January, as a treat to ourselves for surviving the holidays! Living in Florida we know all about hurricane season, and we choose not to visit the Caribbean during that time. Booked for Jan 8, 2021 on the Crown Princess. Keeping fingers (and toes) crossed that cruising will resume by then!

I love going for Christmas!! We don't have to decorate and it is just the 2 of us. My vacation tends to be in October. My 1st cruise we were stuck out in the Gulf 3 extra days because of Hurricane Nate. My husband and I loved it, my boss not so much.

October seems to be the worst. It's unsettled and stormy. My last October cruise we missed Grand Cayman because we couldn't tender. And it rained in Curacao and Aruba. I'd never go on an Oct cruise again. Middle of Sept through end of Nov seems unsettled.

It's still hurricane season, with all the risks associated with that, but if you're willing to give it a try it can be a great time. Usually really hot though!

I get seasick 🤢 very easily and it gets rough from November to February so I stay away from cruising. I live in St Thomas, VI and can tell you July THROUGH October are HOT but there is air conditoning!

Pretty much flat calm seas in August, unless there is a hurricane out there somewhere...however August, especially early August is typically pretty great, hot, but great!
