this makes me cry when I see this! You totally see the emotion in his voice when he says "Oh My Gosh, BLUE!" And Blue just is unsure for half second and then gets a hug. You can just tell the saddness he's went through with Blue. When he lost his family, the only one left was Blue. Blue was a huge part of his life, and he loved her. Wolf or not, she was still his little puppy

The voice acting is excellent across the board in the dub here. Quent in particular really grabs my attention every time he speaks. Even when he's just some passed-out alcoholic tucked away in the back of a bar. It's painful to see someone who is kept motivated by single thing when that thing is very much a delusion or misguided.

The entire last dvd of this series destroyed me. 🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨 If anyone can make it through the final phase without crying once I don't even know if it's possible. Having them all die one by one I was not prepared for as a 13 year old even now at 33 I know it's coming and I can't stop myself. Everyone's death was so powerful and impactful just an emotional masterpiece. Johnny yong Bosch Crispin Freeman Steve Blum the whole cast nailed it ❤

Just rewatched it recently and I gotta say the dub does a wonderful job and I'm invested in every single character. It's an absolutely underrated gem that deserves a viewing by anyone who enjoys these sorts of stories. Yeah everything may not make perfect sense because some things are left unanswered but it was done so on purpose. This show will destroy you but you will love every moment of it.

Notice how in Quent's flashback, Blue has begun to eclipse the boy. I believe this is symbolic that she's become more important to him than his quest for vengeance. Blue, in the present. At the end of everything. If only he'd realized sooner.

The wolves in this world have a bit more in the way of supernatural capabilities than in ours, I think in part due to how involved they are in the creation and destruction mythology of this world. They developed a trick where they can essentially conjure a human appearance as a disguise to get around unnoticed, but it’s only fool proof. Some people, observant or more in tune with the world, drunk, Noble, or otherwise, can see through the disguise to varying degrees. Technology also isn’t fooled by disguises. When he was talking to Blue she had the guise up to try and convince him that wolves didn’t murder their family because she herself is at least half wolf, but he wouldn’t listen to just anybody. So, the guise dropped as he recognized her usage of Pops!
