It would be great if Hoyo has a multiplayer event, where the players have to pick a faction (like Kokomi vs Raiden), then the players must gather as much area influence through a combat mode. Kinda like age of empire thingy. Each player will only have a certain number of moves each day. This be would a great extension of the current skirmish system we have in Natlan. Though it'd be difficult to balance

Strategy wise, its a disaster, it's chaotic ASF, all of the Natlan forces and including Fatui squads are literally scattered everywhere hence the high casualty rate and the chaotic situation, if they had rallied all of their forces at the stadium, the casualities might be even lower

Act 4 utilized the point " *you might be strong but you can't be at all places at all times* " really well. Isn't traveler strong? Isn't mavuika strong? (4:34:19) No.they'll win every abyssal confrontation. But still many people died because we couldn't reach there on time,even with combined efforts of captain and his troops,the abyss inevitably corripted the flame in the stadium because mavuika was went to save people in scions of canopy undergrounds. Even the hot air balloon trip at first feels a bit slow,but that's to show how drastically things have changed under 10 minutes. at first,we only see some npcs fighting with the abyssal monsters in the open field,nothing significant about that can't be fixed by our warriors,but after the same trip across scions of canopy 10 mins after,where the place is breeding with abyssal monsters and everyone including their saurians lying on the ground.

I feel like they could've condensed it some more and/or incorporated it into Act 4 to make it feel like less of a drag. Exposition isn't a bad thing, but there's a such thing as too much of it

I can get why she was mad at us when we insulted her, but sometimes she just needed to calm down on the endless ranting, especially the part we were talking to the captain, I wish she had let us finish before punching ororon, and not "he probably wasn't gonna tell you much anyways-" Some people just don't like "disrespectful" characters in general. (Which is fine as long as they don't think everyone must bow to them. Disrespectful characters are supposed to make you feel.. disrespected.) I really like her voice and desgin, her face is mesmerizing, if her voice was high-pitched she would be intolerable. I found her pretty funny and nice otherwise. (Also I know you were most likely joking about the bad parents thing but when she kept going off on ororon it did remind me of my dad's endless insults lol)

Yeah...some ppl got even annoyed at why Natlan looked so colorful and happy. Like you couldn't even tell them that "Nation of War" doesn't have to be a literal Inazuma and that hoyo never made it seem like Natlan's war was even similar to Inazuma's civil war based on the little info we got here and there from some npcs who visited Natlan, they'd always just give one logic "they said it's a nation of war". And then the AQ released😭. Ofc why it's called the nation of x would be shown in the quests in that nation instead of how the nation looks.

Capitano is Anfortas Albrecht. The commander of the Swan Knights, and the guy who took over as Regent of Khaenriah after King Irmin became “indisposed.” He’s the one who led the people of Khaenriah out into Sumeru’s desert through the giant underground doorway where it connects to Khaenriah. We know this because Guthred called him “commander.” And we only know of 2 Khaenrian commanders: Dainsleif the commander of the black serpent knights, and Anfortas, commander of the Swan Knights. Capitano isn’t Dain, so by process of elimination he has to be Anfortas. Anfortas was also known for his levelheadedness and honor. You can read about him in the writings of the other swan knights in the ruins of the giant ruin golem next to the gate to Khaenriah. He matches Captiano’s personality to a T. Yes, theoretically they could introduce another random Khaenrian commander to be Capitano, but it would be much more impactful and in-line with Hoyo’s writing for him to be Anfortas. So that’s my assumption going forward.

i was liking this theory, but i double checked and anfortas lost one of his eyes, but mika says he saw capitano's "eerie blue eyes" as in plural, so im pretty sure he's another commander. i also couldn't find where anfortas was called a commander, i did find his title to be Marshal though. what does seem plausible is for pierro to be anfortas

Please preface this by clarifying that this is a theory. Because it very clearly is one. Besides Anfortas having only one eye, and Capitano two (according to Mika) there's one more point: Anfortas Alberich was the Marshal-Regent (basically Ruler) of Khaenri'ah during and after the Cataclysm, and a Kinght-Marshal before that. Both incredibly important positions. If Capitano was Anfortas, Dainsleif and him would've definitely crossed paths much more. The same can be said about Capitano and the Prince/Princess.

3:42:00 I know this dynamic is not for everyone, but it IS supposed to show how grave Ororon's decision was. He was basically going to commit suicide, ofc Citlali is gonna double down on her stance that he was reckless and stupid. Not to mention, he was practically committing multiple crimes with a war criminal that tried to harm the Pyro Archon, someone who is basically the monarch of their nation. That's how any worried elder would feel after the panic is over. She had a hand in raising him as a child, so imagine how you would feel as a parent when your child decided to go kill himself because he thinks it would make up for whatever failure he thinks he did (while also possibly endangering others). And for those saying this is toxic, it's honestly not. People are just sensitive with their feelings sometimes and, while said feelings are valid, they need to acknowledge there are times the truth needs to go hard for you to realize the weight. This is a normal relationship, and I should know because my own mom berated me many times like this when I'm being stupid but does acknowledge when I'm doing something great. The "gentle parenting" method is not always the way to go. The dynamics might not be for everyone, and it's imperfect because it's supposed to be. Citlali is not gentle with Ororon because she tells it as it is rather than doing the "not putting him down" approach that made Ororon devolve into his self-pity. And it's not like she completely dismisses him either. She has her own way of showing care to Ororon that doesn't involve berating him. It's because she's all tsun tsun granny on him that he learns how to stand his ground in the conversation. Citlali and Faruzan are the type of people who are proud of what they have accomplished, especially after having lived for such a long time. Even more tragic for Faruzan whom lost everyone she knew after spending a hundred years in a ruin. It's fine to dislike them, but their traits are not just some pointless arrogance and haughtiness. 5:27:20 Also, am I the only one losing their shit over this??? The Lord of the Night calls Capitano an outlander, and that term is more or less reserved for people who are "from another world" but are not Descenders. Not to mention, being sent by one of the Four Shades (especially the Ruler of Death, whom also made a deal with Xbalanque-the Archon of the nation wherein Capitano ended up seeking sanctuary)??? It's all linked!!!

👏👏👏phenomenal explanation of Citlali’s and Ororon’s relationship. I actually really like how Citlali was handled in these two archon quests. I also think a combination of her aggressive voice in English and Ororon’s soft demeanor painted Citlali as a bully on a surface level, but if you just take a second and think about it, it makes a lot of sense in writing and fits Citlali’s personality that she is awkward and not as emotionally intelligent

I think the captain asked the night lord for help to come with us to the final assault. He will pay the price for the power used by Mavuika with his own life, and Mavuika will give us the gnosis (also pyro mc powers) in return for this sacrifice so that we can deliver it to Tsaritsa. but I hope I'm proven wrong and Capiton will be a playable character.

I’m SO certain that both Mavuika and Capitano will be playable and survive in the story. The way that the archon quest has been talking about and building up to Mavuika’s inevitable death because of Xbalanque’s pact, it wouldn’t make sense for her to die and just end it there. Not to mention, there’s so much talk of the Ode of Resurrection and ancient names and whatnot, I’m fairly certain we’re going to see Mavuika revived through the Ode of Resurrection and it’ll be the Traveler to bring her back. As for Capitano, just call it a hunch, but I don’t see them killing him, at least for now, but I like your theory that he’ll task the Traveler to bring the pyro gnosis to the Tsaritsa, it also really ties in that we’re going to Snezhnaya next

When the full scale war of natlan started when i was doing the quest in school(Because we had like 3 hours of free time)Me and my classmates we're literally freaking out one of my classmates even yelled "YO WTF MAVUIKA TURNED INTO THE SUN" it was hype man this quest is indeed the best

I like how you can save different areas which affect the outcome. Like in my game, I focused only on saving humans and ignored all the saurian’s, which I think landed with me having less casualties (I don’t quite remember unfortunately, but I think it was on the lower end) So here at 4:05:33 you chose the saurian’s, but if you chose the other option you save two houses full of injured people or non-combatants and also the guy’s mother who helps save more people with her medical skills. 4:08:39 iirc, the other option is helping Fatui saving some merchants, which is what I chose. 4:17:02 here, you can save either a mother and her child or some people and their saurian’s. I chose the mother and child fortunately. 4:20!39 I don’t remember what the other choice was (or if there was one at all) but since I saved them earlier, there was one fighter left and then a few of the non-combatants and other’s I saved actually helped in fighting their way back to the stadium. Also, those two NPC’s were more courageous. 4:23:04 yep, got this one too. 4:23:59 there were a lot fewer warriors here for me. Only 3 + the leader. 4:26:48 There is a merchant cart nearby and one of the dead NPC’s here is the same one from when I saved the Fatui and merchants (the dead, chubby girl from the people of the springs).

@@moosefan rip. I prioritized civilians and merchants over Saurians so when I got to the saurian area, only the baby yumkasaurus was alive. Technically you save more people if you chose them over the mother and child but like, it’s a mother and her child.

I went on a different route during the war sequence, instead of the traveler finding the mom and daughter, I found a bunch of dead saurians. they really captured the nature of "War" in this, and the choices you choose would determine of who get's saved and who dies.

The production values were great, and the lore reveals were interesting, but I found this all to be a snoozefest. Action for action's sake just does not impress me. The plot was rote and very predictable. I consider Fountaine's story, which was different, classy, and original, to be much better. I know this is just a matter of personal taste; and I'm genuinely happy that most players really liked this.

To me Fontaine was only good because of act 5. Act 1 and 2 bored me and act 3 and 4… we will never talk about those. Natlans act 1 was a little boring, but still enjoyable and act 2 was awesome. Act 3 had lots of dialogue, but the new characters were hilarious, but act 4 is where it really kicks in. Honestly can’t wait to see what will happen to Mavuika and traveler.

I very much see your point. For me, Natlan's Act IV is on par, if not better overall compared to Fontaine's Act V. Furina really carried Fontaine, and I am really happy that she did. An amazing character can greatly provide the wave that lifts all boats. But we are talking about all aspects here, and we only want Genshin to further improve its storytelling quality, so Natlan did what it needed to do. Fontaine Act V provided us with the ff: • Brilliant character writing of the stars of the show: Furina and Focalors, which changed everyone's perception towards her several times throughout the quest. She may be the best character in Genshin Impact as a whole. • Satisfying development for Neuvillette's character and puts him in a perfect spot for future story. • Told expositions in a creative and engaging way via the courtroom scene. • Raised the stakes by killing Melus and Silver, further reinforcing Navia's character and properly setting up the plot twist. • Gave proper resolution on the Hydro Archon's plan, the prophecy, and the horrendous Fortress of Meropide quests. • The rest of the Fontaine cast that appeared was integrated well, despite having small parts. • While Arlecchino contributed at least something, she did not really have an arc in the archon quests. She excelled in her own story quest instead. • The inclusion of Childe and everything about him (Skirk, Narwhal) in Fontaine felt like an afterthought, although the scenes were pretty good. • There is not much gameplay, aside from choosing options in the courtroom scene, and the underwhelming boss fight. • Amazing music. That's it. Natlan Act IV provided us with the ff: • The pacing for this quest is the star of the show for me. That is why despite being one of the longest archon quests, it did not felt like it at all. • If Fontaine's gameplay highlight was the courtroom scene, what Natlan did was give "the scope of the war" justice. The story greatly utilized the open world/environment, the Saurian mechanics, the butterfly effect of dialogue options, and the battle system, which gave a varied experience. • Raised the stakes even further by showing casualties of Natlanese, intertwining the tragedy within both story and gameplay. • Involvement of The Abyss, Shades, Heavenly Principles, and Khaenriah was done well, which added significant weight to the quest. • Chasca and Ororon's character development might not be as compelling as Furina's, they still managed to make an impact to move the plot naturally and earnestly. • The rest of the Natlan cast's appearances in the quest felt more significant due to the nature of the story being presented. • Capitano did not start off strong in both Acts II and III, so they made his involvement in the story more personal by connecting him to both Traveler and Natlan. • Obviously, Natlan's story is not done yet, so the on-going plot points and new revelations that are not given resolution to yet, can be easily excused. However, Act IV still gave a satisfying conclusion to the current dilemma. • Amazing music. That's it. I am really biased towards Fontaine Act V, that's why I still put it in high regard. But we can clearly see that Natlan Act IV CLEARS.

He had one of the coolest character introductions ever in Act II, and in Act III he was an interesting character right from the start from being a Fatui agent with zero hostility towards us, he was smart in getting Ororon to set the trap for us, and he was persuasive in his arguments against Mavuika's plan. And in Ororon's memories he was a fascinating character right from his first interaction with Ororon.

i played CN when I heard some EN VA is on strike and this AQ is too important to be interrupted and luckily i speak Mandarin. But dang, CN Chasca was screaming and cried out way more than in EN, in those scenes of her looking up to the sky in silence was her screaming in the CN side. Also, because Chinese language, plus some Asian language, are spoken tonally so CN Citlali actually sounded more like a mixture of Mona and Furina, like prideful but dejected at times because she gets insecure about her age. EN Citlali is more confident like Faruzan thou.
