On SMW, the worst that i am aware is you save file gets corrupted/deleted, but the game can still run fine. But on other games like Link To The Past for example, your save file can get corrupted in such a way that your cartridge actually becomes unplayable due to corrupted save file. (It crashes when loading the menu screen). The chances are low, but not impossible. The only way to fix this is to open up the cartridge, and remove the battery for a little. You can also tilt your cartridge until you get a random crash that can wipe your saves, but that can cause physical damage to the cartridge or the console. Be careful which games you want to crash with glitches.

0:36 interesting, that skipping audio seems to be a switch issue because the same thing happens when yoi do a pretty eaay crash in sonic 2 (the sega ages port specifically) The audio will skip and everythibg temporarily is unresponsive, then the game crashes (not the software to be clear)

The home screen was messed up and had corrupted graphics. also the emulator sometimes had corrupted graphics. all was good after a restart

I did that with my Nintendo switch and it did not break it, what his the reason it did not break it, the reason why it cannot break your nintendo switch it is because it is considered virtual console even thought it is on the SNES nintendo switch online app, for the same reason you can test dangerous computer virus on your computer if you run a virtual computer in your computer, so only the virtual computer gets damage and not the real one. So it can damage the app, not the nintendo switch, this happen while I was testing if the chargeing chuck cloud glitch still work on the nintendo switch, and since I did not know how to do it properly it always crash diffrent, and this cause this to happen in Super mario kart, while I was raceing a grand prix, the first two of my 5 lap showed "-" 86"00 "-"83"00 the rest of it was find, the lap time was actually 26, and 23, and still callculated the actual number of 26, and 23, that might have happen because Super mario world was really close to Super mario kart in the app. After that it never happen again even by doing the cloud glitch wrong, since now I know how to do it correctly, it still does not work on the nintendo switch, it just gives no item, and no crash.
