Yes, it’s my first audio interface and I use it with my Shure SM58 microphone for everything-solo podcast, Google Voice phone calls, Zoom meetings, and good audio for real-camera recorded video (automatically synched via waveform in Davinci Resolve). When I want to use my mic & Podtrak, but listen via Bluetooth headset, I keep Zoom meeting app (or Google Meet) outputting to Podtrak, but have my Windows computer output its audio to the Bluetooth headphones. This might work for you too. For live calls, I put the free Nvidia Broadcast application between my Podtrak audio feed and meeting software for reducing background noise & room echo for a cleaner sound.

@@melinasparks3268 For live calls/meetings, I set the meeting software (zoom, Google Meet, etc) to use the Podtrak P4 as the microphone input. Personally, I run a software called NVidia Broadcast that processes the Podtrak's microphone signal to do some noise reduction; so I set the meeting software to use NVidia Broadcast as the microphone input. But the first method should work for you. You must connect the Podtrak to your computer using the USB C connection so that your computer can use it as an audio interface. I hope this helps.

@StephanieLin3 жыл бұрын
Hi! You know it actually happened to me before too! I'm really not sure what solved my problem. I thought it's a connection issue where the cable connects to the camera so I would make sure it's very tight, but I would always find out about the static sounds after I finished filming so I never had the chance to troubleshoot on the spot. But I do have a question (I don't use KZbin as a portal for communicating like this, so I'll be brief). Do you know if the P4 can be used as an audio interface for multitrack playback? Can I export different tracks onto the P4 Smartcard, i.e. a bass track on #1, a violin track on #2, and a keyboard track on #3...and then connect the P4 to the computer so I can play them all back at the same time, adjusting volume on each track as it plays? Hope that makes sense, thanks in advance.

Hi Edwin! I'm not familiar with using the Podtrak this way. Sounds like an interesting experiment, but my guess is no? I've never tried this scenario but here's my guess 😅: I would say no because the USB-c is only being used as an input on the P4... I think if you connect your phone via the audio jack, you will be able to. A close example is this one I recorded for another question I received: kzbin.infoilSu0HCjouA But this example was with iPhone and the audio jack, not USB-C. Hope this helps a little!!

@@StephanieLin thanks! 😊 I actually got tired of asking around and doing hours of research and only to still find no "for sure" answer, so I was able to get my local music store to open the one they had off the shelf and let me audition it. We ran 3xlr mics into the P4 and I went KZbin live (mobile) and all mics worked great as the sound input for the stream! USB C to USB C. No setup - it automatically does it on its own. I felt a little wrong afterwards because I didn't buy it from the music store because they didn't price match so I got it 50 bucks cheaper on reverb.com as a B-STOCK item. I used Samsung galaxy s20 fe android to do the KZbin live stream. Thanks again! - Reef of the East on KZbin

Anyone knows why when I connect my Zoom into my iPad Pro I get sound from my tablet speaker and my headset?
@StephanieLin Жыл бұрын
Were you trying to use an XLR mic attached to the Zoom instead of iPad's own mic?
@AsereCrypto Жыл бұрын
@@StephanieLin yes I connect the mic 🎙️ n the zoom device and I use another cable type c from my zoom to my tablet but does not work and also when I’m using my headset I can heard other people voice like a kind of interference.

@@AsereCrypto If I'm understanding your setup correctly- if you want to use the XLR mic with your tablet, you'll have to connect the zoom headphone side to the tablet instead of using USB-C, kinda like the example I have here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmTZpJqBhtplgLc. If you connect the zoom + iPad via USBC, the Podtrak is using tablet mic as audio input. Hope this helps

I did the research and found out it was not capable of using for video and audio such as youtube. But I am critically watching your video and seeing how you've synced them together. Considering video formats only use 16/24bit 48hz or higher.. You will get ghosting or mis sync'd audio. So I am curious. How do you find it? Thanks again!

Hi Lucas! Sorry about the late response. I'm not knowledgeable in the very technical audio stuff but I do not have any issues with audio/video not syncing! On the website it says it uses 16-bit /44.1kHz audio WAV.

@StephanieLin3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm... are you thinking about using a XLR mic connected to the Podtrak to go live on Facebook or just recording your facebook live on the podtrak? 🤔💭

Anyways! I was able to test using a Rode mic connected to the podtrak, and then connect iphone to the podtrak to use that mic to go live on FB. It worked. Just have to make sure you have the right cable!
