Last year, I bought a Denon AVR-S660H AV receiver. Stopped working after 4 months. A sudden "autoprotection" issue, a common problem, seemingly. Done all the suggested trouble shootings, with no result. Denon not interested at all to give me any assistance (all was made through email to discourage me to seek a service, repair or exchange). It was my first and LAST Denon device.

Smaller speakers generally have less sensitivity. Therefore, they require more power than large speakers. Recommending smaller speakers for a lower powered receiver is backwards thinking.

I demo'd both Yamaha and Marantz competing AV receivers both being roughly 2,000. I bought the Marantz because it has a warmer, fleshier sound imo.
