Boreham Wood might just as well play in the Conference south with that support Matt. There is a very good Southend site, which i look at called Diversity. Their support is quite phenominal, be it home or away. Anyway, another one off of your bucket list. No rush to get back to Boreham Wood in a hurry mate

I genuinely couldn’t believe how poor Boreham Wood’s support was, genuinely the worst I have witnessed and that’s not a reactionary statement either.. I’m happy to admit our fans weren’t great either but Boreham Wood’s football was dire to watch and creating an atmosphere in an away end like that was impossible. Great and fair video mate

We, Tranmere , played them in the National League Play Final 5 years ago, probably the biggest game in their history and they had 1800 fans at Wembley 8 miles away. I went to their place twice during our time in the none league and despite the near 400 mile round trip we still had more fans at both games then they did. I just don`t see how they survive as a professional club unless the owner is chucking money in.

Ive been to Wood with Yeovil a few yrs ago.Found the same lack of support which surprised me a bit as their football isnt to bad..

Good fans Southend. They gave Luton some decent fighting a few years ago. All clubs can take inspiration from Luton. What we’ve done is nothing original. We’ve just done things the right way. Ban drummers. No ridiculous flags or goal music. And a top quality set of morals.

Totally agree. I woz at Torquay Utd, fixture wiv an Essex mate of mine called Andi Wilkey. He hales from Canvey Island and supports Saaafffend. Thoroughly enjoyable day at Plainmouth wiv me mate. No jelled eels though!☹️ Not a right result as we say in my part of the world! (Devon)!😂
