I have that pack in the same color and love it! It is a bit heavy, compared to my Zpacks Arc Haul, but it is much more comfortable. I take that one on summer hikes and my Osprey on fall and spring hikes.

I have this backpack too. You will find that the side pocket with 2 entrances is designed for Warner bottles. You can acces the water bottle from the top entrance or lay the bottle sideways through the side entrance for easier access when walking.

I got this one in the REI garage sale and was ecstatic! Unfortunately I'm learning the top loading is a huge hassel :( I basically have to unpack my bag to get anything - thank god for packing cubes, but that's still a hassel

@@TravelWithLady I only do short hike as of now because of pack and foot wear issues. Couple of years ago the only pack that I got fitted for was the adjustable kids Osprey Ace 50. Sure can't get a lot in pack for long distances. How ever the pack is very comfortable. I am just short period, torso,legs,arms and fingers. I just need to find a very professional pack fitter. Did you find that you would have wanted a detachable day bag? I’m trying to decide between the Aura and the Ariel.. the Aura looks perfect other than not having the detachable day bag, which the Ariel has. Thanks!! xx

Yes the Ariel does have an awesome day bag attachment. I brought a very slim, packable, and light day backpacking that didn't take up much space for my day hikes. If you think you'd prefer to have just one bag for both jobs the Airel looks like an awesome choice. Thanks for watching Ali! 😀

Is it safe to keep the sealed granola bars in the tent though?? I'm always confused when they say no food.. does it apply to factory sealed snacks? Love your reviews. You're the reason I got the tempest 9l! Haha

Awe Milla! How are you liking the tempest? It's just getting warm enough in Alaska that I think we can start hiking soon. Even if it's sealed I wouldn't keep your food with you. Our rule was any and all food goes into the separate bag/barrel and gets stored far from our tents.

Not only food (even if in factory sealed package) but any hygiene products with scent, i.e. toothpaste, scented lotion, etc. I keep my small bag of hygiene products inside my bear can at night, away from camp. 🏕
