You can put 2 extractor per oil nodes. So the base with 3 oil nodes, you can put 6 extractor! It'll be hard, it has to be pixel perfect, but possible, just so everyone knows

The second place you showed is where I set up my base. I like it a lot. It has a great view of the mountain and world tree. It's also close to Menasting Terra which makes it easy to farm

ideally for a full mining base replacement, having quartz nodes along side your oil nodes is ideal. everything else you are now able to get from camps such as coal, and sulphur. but quartz you'd have to go out and get still with whats available and cuircut boards are gonna become a big bottleneck to getting some of the new and cool stuff made as well. so those bases qith quartz available are probably the best spot overall. if you just wanted the oil for the plasteel then yeah, just making that obsidian mountain base with 3 nodes and then as many power pals as you can to try and power all 3 would be best for that.

Ranch Dumud and you'll never want for polymer nor circuit boards again. The bottleneck now is electric organs because the only way to get them in large quantities is buying them from merchants

@@mobiusevalon yeah i noticed despite all my killin of stuff and hoarding materials, electric organs is where i fell short setting up a new oil base. even for just 1 pump without the new electric plant i can't keep it powered consistently yet. though i DID see a auto pal butcher...

@@mobiusevalon yeah im thinking of a base thats sole purpose is to run that new auto butcher, and breed nothing but pals that harvest as electric organs at this point. that way im always passively producing some electric organs. in an organ mill.

​@@mobiusevalon Buying the electric organs should not be an issue becouse u dont really need to spend the money on anything else and u get a ton of it anyway. Especially when u start to sell the Diamonds, Rubys and the other high value items that isent used in any crafting and are only there to be sold. Even selling Legendary Spheres could be considered to build up a bank becouse they sell for a HUGE amount and when your lvl 50 making Legendary Spheres should not be an issue.

For the supply drops in settings you can change intervals of minutes on the meteorite/supply drops rate. Honestly the most efficient method. We’ve tried everything for that extractor to have efficiency but it just doesn’t. We got 2k plus in the three hours of farming supplies etc and the three crude oils were only up to 80 🤣. I’ve got near max orserks on two different huge power generators. Definitely think about the setting change if you’re still having issues, you can also get gold schematics from supply drops

I did these 3 as well, but only thing with 3rd one, i think its cuz my base area did not cover, but opposite of where the oil nodes are, there is a mob spawn like right on the edge where grass n dirt meet. Make sure to cover enough cuz if not, mobs will spawn like next to the base and disturb the grind

Next update will probably have diesel/gas. Electric generator wont need pals to run anymore. Then refined fuels or nuclear fuel. You could create a whole power plant running off nuclear power. There will probably be a new boss pal from space with some sort of nuclear reactor level energy attack, there are so many possibilities this game is great! Maybe a new pal drops plutonium or something like "pal"tonium as a resource for nuclear power.

I think its just the gatherable resources multiplier in server settings before you load in.

@@svenvleminckx5590 I was just joking. Such a setting sadly doesn't exist in the game. Increasing the gatherable resource multiplier doesn't affect your outcome of the crude oil extractors, since the items are put into the inventory of the extractors. The gatherable resource multiplier only affects breakable structures you can farm, like stone, trees, ore deposits, etc.

Yes you can, but it has to be pixel perfect for it to allow you to put 2 side by side on every oil node

I kinda hate how the only spot with 3 oil nodes within a base radius is on the volcanic island and not on Sakurajima. I don't have any reason to build a base on Sakurajima because I'm already established elsewhere and moving a base just for a change of vista is a ridiculous undertaking

Unpopular Opinion: I enjoyed the 1st release of the early access, spend well over 100 hours in the game... now that it released more content I obviously returned, but for some reason the game is starting to feeling like a grind simulator this time around. The only reason I'd play it right now is FOMO not because I want to. I'm just going to wait til the full game is released whenever that is. And if I want to play it then. After beating the Elden Ring DLC it's hard to return to grinding Oil and shit.
