I don't do many product reviews these days.
The exception is when I find something that's really stands out and can be a game changer.
In this video you'll see the Pocket Radar Smart Coach go head to head with my $1,199 pro scouting gun, the Stalker Pro 2. Watch the video to see how it did.
This video also answers question like:
-- Is the pocket radar accurate?
-- Which baseball velocity radar is better... the Ball Coach vs Smart Coach?
--- Is the Pocket Radar just for pitchers? Or does the Pocket Radar work for hitting? Will the Pocket Radar measure Exit Velocity?
This video is a Pocket Radar product review that also compares the Pocket Radar Smart Coach vs Ball Coach to explain the differences.
(This will also be helpful if you're wondering " How to measure exit velocity ")

UPDATE:
It was brought to my attention that the Stalker Pro 2 CAN (and I quote) "measure outbound speeds you just need to change a setting in the sub menu system. You can set it to Inbound, Outbound, or Both. Both will allow you to get 3 speeds on one reading. Release speed, roll down, and batted ball launch speed. Also, in the sub menu you can set the Minimum speed to as low as 0mph."
As a Major League scout I never needed either of those features, but it's nice to know they exist. The purpose of this video was to compare the accuracy of the Pocket Radar against the industry standard radar, not give a full overview of the Stalker Pro 2. But I always want give accurate information, so there you go.
