wow this is really the best and most useful battle guide! i will add this video to my steam guide. Great job! Also the battle and your opponent are surprisingly good. Some thoughts: 1. Your enemy brought 4 Yeoman Archers ($650) and 4 Peasants ($110). that's 8 slots and $3040 that's gonna lose to 4 Pavise x-bows (4 slots and $1960). I really dont like this part of his army composition. I also don't get why did you move against the army since i believe that the skirmish part would favor you anyway. 2. English cav in this period is just so bad. Even English Knights (clearly worse than Knights of Santiago) are basically an overpriced version of Imperial Knights with slightly better attack. 3. 5:40 - you do this bait very well, i think this is one of the main reasons why i lose to you so often. 4. The enemy army comp is 4 archers, 4 peasants, 6 cav (1 gen body, 4 English Knights, 1 Mailed Knights) which leaves him with 6 slots for Infantry - I'm guessing 4 Armored Swordsmen and 2 Dism. English Knights at the flanks. I think Billmen is a good unit since it's cost effective so i'd rather have them than Peasant/more archers. Anyhow, i checked my own army composition templates for the rules: Portugal: 1x Bodyguard (+1 attack) 4x Portuguese Knights (+1 attack and +1 armor) 1x Knights of Santiago (+1 attack) 4x Dismounted Portuguese Knights (+1 attack and +1 armor) 4x Swordsmen Militia (only one of the unit has +1 attack and +1 armor; the rest have no upg) 1x Spear Militia (+1 armor) 4x Pavise Crossbowmen England: 1x Bodyguard (+1 attack) 4x English Knights (+1 attack and +1 armor) 1x Hobilars (most people would opt for Mailed Knights which is prolly correct) 4x Dismounted English Knights 4x Armored Swordsmen (only one of the unit has +1 attack; the rest have no upg) 4x Billmen 2x Yeoman Archers (+1 armor)

It's good to see I'm not the only one appreciating this gem in 2017 :) I have a question, sometimes you switch between the units of a group. For example, at 4:35 you command each individual cavalry unit really fast (without selecting them with your mouse). Which hotkey do you use for this?

Getting back to med II after a long hiatus. Used with the newest total war games camera when you use the mouse wheel scroll you usually scroll forward and downwards. In medieval it just moves the camera up and down on a vertical plane. Any tips for this?. Also, the mouse scroll is very slow. Serached for solutions but no avail.

Don't know but I think battles in this game are too short, not boring, they're fine... but too short and easy

Depends on what you're exactly thinking about - battle vs AI is always gonna be easy regardless of conditions and bonuses computer gets (except extreme ones, say 2 cav units vs 20 pikes). Mp skill level varies from player to player. I fought many close battles where either I or my opponent had just 1-2 soldiers surviving, those were fun to play but not so for commentate.

few questions that u didnt explain. Why u charge units cav at start of the battle if u see meatshield is going on you and stop ur charge and what are u focusing with your ranges? i see you are trying to target cav with your rangeds units but i would rather stop firing cause of hitting my units

I focus on their missile and cav once it's in my range, why charge meatshields? Because they could break my missiles, screw their formations and won't let them be as effective as they are. Friendly fire is not as big concern most of the time.

I tend to use meatshields all the time when I am rushing. Peasants are my prime choice for that.

Jeśli jest to możliwe, tak. Zwróć uwagę na to, że jednostki używające prochu (piechota) nie mogą strzelać ponad głowami swoich sojuszników, co czyni je prawie bezużytecznymi podczas skomplikowanych bitew. Staraj się utrzymać wolną przestrzeń tak długo jak to możliwe.

That's not true. First of all its not even a fast micro battle (best of pros tend to do those things way more fluently) and its not yolo. There's a clear reasoning behind every move, and moreover, it's explained step by step. If you know the basics of strats and tactics, you need more advanced guides like this one. If you dont, better start off with in-game tutorial.

General bodyguard unit has 2 hitpoints. I shooted his gen with my xbows (belts, armor penetration bonus) and engaged with two handed units (they can crack trough enemies). Once his gen died, battle was pretty much over.

I think you refer to Bolts, the ammo for the crossbows (like an arrow, just a little bit heavy). Btw Nice video bro
