@@garysprojects not really just for rope to secure the pack with. some people like bungee cords, but if you know the trucker's hitch rope is always at hand, lighter, more versatile, and won't ever spring into your eyes by accident. you could thread rope into the holes, but it's a bit of a hassle, upside down hooks are better. maybe 4
