Punishment of those tasked with decision making during the pandemic period for their error in that decision making - though you may find it gratifying - is not the goal of the inquiry. Misconduct in public office (“MiPO”) is a common law offence that can be tried only on indictment. It carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. The offence concerns serious wilful abuse or neglect of the power or responsibilities of the public office held. There must be a direct link between the misconduct and an abuse of those powers or responsibilities. The Court of Appeal has made it clear that the offence should be strictly confined, and it can raise complex and sometimes sensitive issues. This guidance sets out the key legal elements of the offence and the factors that prosecutors should consider when applying the Code for Crown Prosecutors in cases where MiPO is alleged. Case Handling Prosecutors should refer to the Referral of Cases guidance for the appropriate handling of MiPO allegations. Evidential Considerations The elements of the offence were summarised in Attorney General's Reference No 3 of 2003 [2004] EWCA Crim 868. The offence is committed when: a public officer acting as such wilfully neglects to perform their duty and/or wilfully misconducts themselves to such a degree as to amount to an abuse of the public's trust in the office holder without reasonable excuse or justification

@user-qq2vq4fv8b you know the elites are working on that, right? (have been for well over a century - stepped it up in 2020) it's called the great reset (agenda21 - agenda for the 21s century) and it involves them psy-op-crisis-eroding all remaining national sovereignties, dissolving all remaining "democracies", force-relocating (or depopulating) cultures (to hasten the erosion of national identities/histories), digitising the fiat money system so you'll need a digital ID to participate (a 2,000 year-old book had a whole chapter all about a coming time when 'none may buy or sell, save that he had the mark'), centralising all power into their elite-funded and administered unelected, unaccountable, unassailabe, global organisations (UN, WHO etc.) - pushing for an Internet of Bodies (brain-computer interfaces [Hi, Elon] nano-tech 'vaccines' etc.) for - finally! - COMPLETE control over the (vastly reduced in number) plebs. Convid was just the opening act. - and by the way, 'democracy' never was. "Everything is a rich-man's trick". Democracy was an illusion - believed in only by the poor. The elites are done with it now, and the mask is coming off. Neo-feudal techno-fascism ahoy! (here it comes..) But hey, they MIGHT not succeed.. we have to NOT comply.

I don't know why so many people are offended by swear words !!! What offends _me_ are actions which result in harm being caused to the general populace, who are only doing their best to live their lives and protect and care for their loved-ones. Words uttered to describe the correct actions suited to any given situation are one thing, but 'cursing' is just another way to express oneself given the heinous behaviours such as those acted out by a 'leader', when they just cannot do the job required of them. In other words, guys (in charge, ie the P.M etc) ...get on with the ******g job we pay you to do, to keep us healthy and fit to maintain our own roles within society. Done. Finished. Do your job, do it properly, or get out and let others who can, do it instead of you. (I aim no offence at commenters here... I am okay with aiming it at the previous P.M, then, the brief, - though not brief enough, tbh - interim P.M, and _also_, the _current_ one, though he is dealing (if that word _can_ be applied to him) with another form of harm (eg financial and ecological etc) to our society. Politics is _not_ my "thing" and thus, I may be seen as "talking out of my a**e" but so be it. Unless I say how In feel and / or what I think, I will not be told, or learn where I'm mistaken, if I'm mistaken. Again, as to the "profanity" ... Bring it on. It's about time we heard some "genuine" thoughts expressed as any frustrated person would. Not necessarily a constant stream of words _designed_ to upset or cause offence, but, just "straight talking" and putting their alternative views across. I am fed up with the "namby-pamby" "clutching of pearls" by weak-minded "audiences" who would blush at 'David' minus his figleaf !! 🖖

You have one. It's called the Green Party. The thing which sets them apart is that they will not have a party whip, they encourage a ground-up movement and w encourage their elected to make up their minds on issues following their own conscience.

well done for putting this together. I do enjoy hearing Cummings doing an accurate hit Job on Hancock & Johnson to a lesser degree in this video. Cummings still won't acknowledge he broke the rules & therefor I conclude he doesn't give a damn about the people he hurt.

I know lot of simple minded, low IQ muppets, actually believe that what they see on the telly... Bonkers Johnson, Sunak, King Charlie boy and the whole rest of them... Is how they think they behave in private... But that couldn't be further from the Truth! Just like the rest of us, many of these high profile people, are just as deeply flawed as the rest of us! Indeed more so!!! So what you see on the telly, is just one Big Act! Nothing more!

Unbelievable to think how many citizens we lost because of incompetence at a time of a worldwide crisis. To every family that lost loved ones, I myself am truly sorry. Sad to think that those in power, certain individuals brought this country into complete chaos, some lining their own pockets with total disregard for those that died. This government need to pay dearly at the next election, hopefully never to return anytime soon.

They got you hook line and sinker didn't they. There should never have been any lockdown. No vaccines. It's the lockdowns, furlong, economic disaster and dangerous vaccines and now millions of excess deaths that have done the damage. Yet, you believe the government should have locked down harder and faster. All this enquiry is there to do is to feed into the narrative that COVID was dangerous and the government should have had even harder restrictions. When in fact they should have down the opposite. The countries with the least restrictions, least lockdowns, Sweden etc did far better than countries who locked down.

When are people in the UK going to start connecting the dots from this inquiry that these people were equally ill-suited to deal with Brexit, and worse, that they were the ones campaigning for the mess?

@MrPercy112 Elected politicians talking about 'hindsight' in regards to Brexit or the pandemic response is a bit like talking about 'hindsight' when it comes to sticking your balls in the toaster. In hindsight, it was a dumb (and painful) idea. 😑😑😑 They had access to some of the best experts in the world, but they chose not to listen to them and were telling the public that their predictions were nothing but 'project fear.'

The lack of realism in the UK shortly before the pandemic hit was bizarre. I live in Spain, one of the two countries that got hit first in Europe and I can remember telling people in the UK that they were only a couple of weeks behind us, and that considering nobody was taking any precautions, it would be bad. The sense of exceptionalism, that things would be fine because "we're British" seemed extremely common, and a total disconnection that there really was an impending crisis was deeply frustrating. Then it hit, and things were absolutely awful in the UK. The Spanish government's initial response wasn't great but they got their act together reasonably quickly. The British government just seemed incapable of learning, then took credit for what the NHS was doing, basically without their help.
