I’m going for my 2nd Aputure ls600x kit with barn doors and fresnel! I’ve got two ls300x lights but those are best for talking head interviews but the 600x handle full body… just need another 150 Dome ie “the BEAST!” Admittedly, not the greatest $$$ deal (the CF Express is the best deal but I would thru B&H to assure quality) And don’t get me wrong, an experienced videographer can shoot shoot/record SUPERIOR QUALITY over less expensive equipment! But Quality Equiptment, like Aputure Lights are just a better build and look more professional - on paper and in person - so Clients feel they are getting their money’s worth (before they even see the ‘bitage’ 😏) AND they are work on the SIDUS app!!!

You have a top tier setup, Aputure do excellent lights, as do Amaran I've got many. I'm very jealous of your 600X. But this list is orientated to those who can't really afford that price bracket of light, when you're just getting started those types of lights seem impossible to afford.

@ Completely understood… that’s I preface it with a the assurance NO ONE NEEDS to gear up at this high cost… 90% is convenience (and foregoing marriage, family etc. to dedicate yourself to other passions!) Plus many, many hours at jobs that provide so sense of accomplishment… we make our choices and OWN them! 😉

Thanks so much for the great video - super helpful! Do you have any overheating issues with your a74? I shoot long outdoor videos and like the a74 but I am concerned about overheating, therefore I'm considering the fx3 - purely because of the fan. You are the first person I heard who said you like the video from the a74 more than the fx3! I've thought that myself! Thanks again for the videos!

I have never had the a7Iv overheat, however I do most of my filming indoors, I have it running for long interviews and podcasts with no issues. But I don't work in really hot environments, so I can only speak to my experience. I've done plenty of outside shoots too, but not filming for really extended periods of time. It's just something I haven't encountered.

Probably because when I get busy with bigger film projects I stop having time for KZbin, so my consistency is all over the place.
