I feel the same way about Berkley Atomic Tubes, they are a tiny white tube that I bought for panfish, then I started catching everything. I have been hammering Large Mouth, Small Mouth, Pike, Perch, Catfish, all on these tiny tubes. I have people approaching me all the time because I’m pulling in Fish left and right. They’re great for lakes that are highly pressured with fishing, I wish I knew about them back when I was fishing local tournaments.

I’ve been using that exact rig for over a decade now. Super ultra light, 1” grub, 1/32oz jig head. And have caught slab gills, monster crappie, both large and smallmouth, even a few small stream walleye and a handful of respectable pike. I don’t only fish that rig exclusively, but my smallest ultra light is dedicated to the 1/32 oz jug and it is never far from hand. I’ll often still fish, minnows and shiners under a slip bobber, while casting that jig. However, when it comes to bedding bluegills, nothing will beat fly fishing, size 12 or smaller nymph will often catch gills one after another when they’re even refusing garden worms. I get the idea that when it comes to spawning gill’s you can’t fish too small. I look forward all winter to fly fishing for bedding gills from a float tube late may and early June, absolute favorite season.

@@TheUltralightLife I'd understand that, but you have this weird tick where you tug on the line mid sentence, 2-3 times per. Then you have to reel in about a foot of excess line just to make a cast.
