I use the UE Boom 3 😁 it doesn't take forever to charge it has surprising good bass even when I listen audio books or podcasts casts it sounds very clear. Also my ue boom 3 can connect to my UE megaboom original so that's awesome it's backwards compatible. In party mode you can connect an absurd amount of booms any generation.It also has an alarm feature that through the app will wake my speaker when it is powered off and wake me up at a designated time how cool is that. My final thoughts use the speaker that fits your needs its really that simple . He did an amazing job he gave you all the facts best to his ability and even gave you his opinion but the end of the day use the speaker that makes you happy their no right or wrong choice only your preference.

I think you missed the point with the battery, yes it takes 7hrs to charge fully...however it lasts 24hrs, the UE3 only lasts 15hrs. If you only wanted 15hrs you could just chrge to 60%, which would be approx 4hrs, the exact same time as UE3 takes. If anything the battery is better as it can last longer between charges. I have both speakers and my daughter in law has jbl, both my wife and daughter prefer the jbl when played as background lower volume music but when cranked up the tribit is mine and wife's favourite, daughter prefers UE3. The tribit & UE3 are also ip67 dust and waterproof, jbl isn't. The UE3 also have to buy the dock separate. My first UE3 battery broke, 2 weeks old wouldn't hold charge took 3 weeks to get a new one.

I think it was a poor choice to use all speakers at max volume. The JBL does not get as loud, but the sound was more balanced. JBL volume should have been the baseline and the others should have been reduced to that volume for the quality tests. Both the Tribit and the Boom 3 were clearly sacrificing sound quality for volume at their max vol setting.

If you can't hear the clear distinction between the 3 you need to stop listening to these tests on your crappy Logitech speakers. I've owned lots of JBL audio in my life including a pair of 732's but I'm going to pick up a Storm box pro. Great review.

I don’t have one at my disposal to test right now but I believe they sound similar. So just upgrading one may not be worth it however if you are considering buying two of them and set up as a stereo specially with the current coupon code they have I think that would be a bargain

@@EnforcerMan Nice early delivery! Hooking them up to my phone in stereo took about 10 seconds. I'm quite happy with the sound. Complete stereo separation, and the 360 nature absolutely fills my bedroom with spacious music. The two of them together are really loud, I could easily put them at opposite ends of the house and listen everywhere. My mother-in-law is here, so that's probably not a good idea ATM. For what they are, they sound great. It's not my vintage sansui receiver with BW speakers, but this doesn't take up a ton of space or cost a bunch of money either. The only other bluetooth speaker I have for comparison is a single original stormbox. 2 of these sound closer to the fancy stereo than to 1 old stormbox, which is a solid compliment. I am pretty amazed that a couple speakers the size of a big starbucks cups can put out this much sound. These don't have the clarity of the big stereo or my Sony wh-1000xmV3 headphones, but it's not realistic to expect they would. I'd say if somebody can get a pair for $200 or less it's a bargain. I am kinda cheap, so even for full price they are a buy. I've got a Bluetooth projector, I'm going to hook these up and see how that goes.

Stormbox pro is the loudest and the better soundquality for me ... The Boom 3's is a little bit sharper than the others . And surprisingly the Flip 5's Bass sounds a bit deeper than the Tribit but the Flip sounds muddy.

I don't know how you all individually feel about "break-in", but this reviewer played the Tribit straight out of the box. With this in mind, you Tribit owners can testify, it sounds better with use. If he went back today and redid this review, the Tribit would sound much different.

I really really really really wanted to like the StormBox Pro, especially since I’ve had good luck with their other speakers. But alas, the Tribit’s sound leaves a little less to be desired, to put mildly. The volume is there, the bass is kinda there, but the overall sound is not. Also, I’m enamored with the form factor and the materials used. Which made it even more disappointing that I had to sell it

Good review... I just wished you would've run a battery test on your own instead of going based of what the manufacturer said the battery life should be.... In the end, I'm a music guy so sound quality matters to me, I'd pick the UE especially because I've used the older iterations of it... But the Storm Box Pro has "better battery life", in built handle, louder, and that coupon to get it for $70 makes it a better buy but at $120 I'd pay the extra to get the UE for $130

Thats not even a fair comparison! Did you know that the Storm box PRO has a woofer down at the bottom? You get pounding bass with that thing. The equivalent Tribit speaker to the JBL and Boom 3 would be the Tribit Stormbox and Not the Stormbox PRO! By the way, I think the Stormbox PRO looks ugly with that large thick handle (in my opinion), the Stormbox is better looking.

I agree that it's not the best looking one. As a matter of fact I think UE is the best looking one. However about the comparison I disagree... It's about the price point. If I go down to the StormBox which is $50, then you can argue it's not fair to compare a $50 speaker with a $150.... so I focus on what money can buy.
