I think they gave that option for North America to prevent blinding other drivers on the opposite side of the road.

Nice information, but I have a 2015 X5 F15 chassis and I can't find AHL2 in the search in expert. I have adaptive lights, but can't seem to find the option for teh Euro adaptive lights. Is there another way to find this.

ISTA and all the BMW standard tools will always have everything you need but the app comes pretty close to a full replacement

Does this tool support a 2009 (e83) X3? I believe you mentioned something about them working on older gen cars in another video.

It has limited capability for gen 1 vehicles, just diagnostic functions not coding. You also need an adapter to bridge two pins on the OBD

Hi I have a e93 and the driver side master door button like window button and folding mirrors dont work but the passenger side works i can bring windows up and down on passenger side but on driver side none of the button works can i some how code frm to work or erase whats causing the problem? I changer the window fuses to by the way and nothing worked!

Sounds like an issue with the driver’s door switches. I’d take the door panel off and take a look in there first

How do you code a new LCI headlight assembly to have the DRL (halos) on? I installed a new passenger headlight assembly with one new DRL and adaptive module. The rest of the modules are original.

If you don’t have a FRM module 2 you will not be able to code your halos to DRLs

Does the euro light code just makes it so it aims further? Does it also aim more towards the opposite lane by any chance?

Depends on the speed of the car. Generally at lower speeds they’ll point more towards the sides (like the opposite lane) while at higher speeds they’ll point further straight ahead

I want my e90 adaptive headlights to slew side to side at a higher speed. I see the ISTA guys talking about MAX_SW_SCHWENK_V_HORIZ, and it's supposedly much faster in the M cars. Can protool change this setting? It is pretty hard to dig through all the menus. Does this Euro headlight mode change the speed of the stepper motors as you steer?

Sounds like it should be possible but im not familiar with that specific one. Try using the search function I’ve found it pretty useful

@@lifebycars5849 Hello. I found them by searching for "SCHWENK". I wish I could tell you how I got to that menu but I'm still learning. They're under expert in either Safety, FRM, or both. Once you find the "SCHWENK" codes, the descriptions are self explanatory. I made my adaptive headlights swing farther out, farther in, and faster. It is noticeable and now they work like they're supposed to. example "MAX_SW_SCHWENKE_W_INNEN Headlights maximum swiveling angle to inside [angle_?=data/10]"

Hi, my 116d I've just bought when you turn ignition on the two daylight bulbs do a light show alternating Left/Right for a few seconds. Is this something I can program off?

Maybe it’s part of a voltage check? You can code those with ProTool but I’m just guessing without more information

You now that car is shutting down all trafic lights. If you dont bush A off button active, under the start stop. Car is F11 520d. How i coding button memmory that car remember that last postion.

Find the Start/Stop Memory option. It’s usually in the FEM module

@@lifebycars5849 no i had to have someone clone the cas module for me , when i put the used one in it wouldnt read the key or let me change the vin. if i cant put the key in the on position then it wont code it. and what about the kmb module how do i code new module to work with car.

It’s still worth it to me for diagnostic stuff but you won’t be able to code anything for gen 1 until they finish developing that part
