Yin(black) & Yang(white) were opposite sides just like fire & ice, using this could make double damage, when the "Yin Yang Fish" boss make a lot of ball with black&white colour, if the fish stay in black water, run towards the white ball and make yourself turn in to a white state, your attack could make double damage, that would be easier to beat the boss

@@LilyCharles Just learned that horse bro(马二) is actually the game's producer Feng (冯), and horse's character story parallel's Feng's game making journey. The flaming mountain is the dire state of Chinese's gaming industry. Horse traveled outside looking for help and during the journey saw how crazy the world was, and still decided to go back to try to save the mountain. Horse didn't think he would succeed but he wanted to make way for you. Feng didn't think the game will save the industry but he still wants to make way for better games!

Pre Journey to the West: Wukong and Bull King were sworn brothers and they challenge celestial court. Wukong's punishment was to join the Tang Monk in JttW. Game lore: Yaksha Kingdome was destroyed by Buddha (faction). Daoist (the other court faction) saved Yaksha prince and made Bull King's Queen birth the prince's reincarnation (Red Boy). The river of birth is basically IVF. The Daoist want the boy as evidence against the Buddhas later. During JttW. Wukong defeated the Bull's family with the help of the court (Nezha with fire roller blade lol). Bajie killed Bulls fox concubine (game implies she's a spy). After his defeat, his family was spilt up by Wukong. Bull started to hate him for that. BUT actually by sending off Bull's family, Wukong helped him become part of the "system", he even says in the animation that for lowly kinds like them, their only way to survive is to summit to the court (kiss ass). But Bull did not understand lol. Also Bull got his head chopped but he didn't die. Post Jttw pre game: Erland and several yaoguais, including all the chapter end bosses and Bull, kills Wukong and "slit loots". This is where we learn that all them did not randomly come across the relics, that was a lie. They were rewarded those relics for killing Wukong. In his dying words, Wukong said to Bull that he thought merit and joining the court will keep them safe. But even their mere existence is a liability to the court, implying that he was killed for wanting freedom, while being too powerful. Game: Someone (Daoist gods) told the Red Boy his true past. He wants the relic to seek revenge for Yaksha. After you defeated the Red boy, he refused to give up his mission of vengeance, so he just offs himself (not the best line of logic, like his adapted dad Bull lol). When Red boy/Yaksha king said how they want to see them beg, he's actually talking about the gods, not you.

The reason Wukong said Bull never made good choices, bc at the end of JttW, Bull was taking away to serve a powerful god, he should've kissed ass but he didn't lol. Later, pre game, he should not have participated in killing Wukong, cuz now he's stuck with that relic, the very thing that broke apart his family.

When I was a boy watching the 1986 version of Journal to the west, never even imagine its more likely a love story instead of a heriotic tv drama, which the novel is super complicated also involving so many line. 😂 also the red devil boy is the only person delivered the hardiest defeat ever to wukong by burning the "hell" out of him (Red boy's fire does not resistance to water). (Sorry hope u can understand my english expression)

Red boy is the last of Yakshas, whose entire race is driven to extinction by Mount Lingshan. The celestial court forced Rakshasi to drink from the river of childbearing and birth red boy both as punishment to the Bull King's previous rebellion against them and to hold leverage over the Buddha in Mount Lingshan. The celestial court is made entirely of Chinese Daoist deities, who compete with the Buddhists deities for influence.

Notice you’ve been skipping a lot of the info on the end of chapter scrolls. They really provide a lot of cool and important contextual info. Especially chapter 5’s scroll starts to explain the relationship between the Bull King and Wukong.
