I had a Canon 560. The shortcomings were minute sensor, aperture range 1 to 2 stops only, the power zoom, never again, focal lengths above 600mm are virtually unusable in practice. The HS70 has some improvements, mainly the touch screen. Do not buy a digital camera that can only be operated through the menu options. It will drive you crazy.
