Absolutely. I love the different pitches he has across the pans. And yeah he did have an actual backing track behind him, and the pitches of the pans match up so well that it makes for a perfect blend.

He's doing great. He ended up making the snare line in high school and becoming a really good player. He also played drumset in the jazz band. Now he's in college and he's doing great!

I liked the backing track. The talking you hear is from another street performer around the corner who was doing a breakdancing routine.
