I've owned my Radrunner 2 for about as long as you have when you made the video. Absolutely the best chunk of change I've spent in a while! No regrets!

love that! I feel the same way, might seem expensive up front but totally worth it

Love your video! I'm also a proud owner of a Radrunner plus and I agree that they are super fun! There's some great studies and articles lately about how people who have e-bikes get just as much exercise if not more due to the fact that they ride their bikes more often than when they had pedal bikes. Sometimes I miss my pedal bike, but then my old injuries flare up and I am so glad I have the RR+. Happy Riding!
@NickLinnen2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! That’s an interesting stat, I guess if the alternative is driving, I’ll still be getting much more exercise on the e bike. That’s a cool way to look at it!

Love this review, thanks for sharing! That last bit where you ride with your wife seems like a lot of fun, didn't know it could comfortably carry a grown-up person on the back!

Thank you! Yeah the payload is about 300lbs I think, it definitely is a bit slower and doesn’t accelerate quite a quick, but it does the trick to get around our neighbourhood!

This is really helpful. I’ve just ordered a radrunner 2. My commute is 5 miles from my home and due to hybrid working is only 3 days per week. I sometimes need to get my 10 year old to school first. It’s hard to justify another car when it’d be sat on the drive for 4 days per week so decided on an e-bike. I love running and am often marathon training so I do not need any more cardio, and the one massive hill would get me sweaty on my old road bike so this is a perfect cheap and green solution.
@NickLinnen2 жыл бұрын
That’s so sweet! Love to hear it, I agree it’s an awesome solution that isn’t all that expensive. Especially when you take into account the amount you save on gas/car maintenance and insurance.

I've had my RadRunnerPLUS for about 8 months and I've gotten rid of my other bikes. This thing is a go anywhere-do pretty much anything bike. I do trail riding, road riding, urban touring...I mean, this is one capable eBike. I've climbed hills, ran through flooded trails, lots of off road riding in dirt, sand, mud, gravel...it's really like a small motorcycle more so than a bicycle. I can't recommend it enough. It's not cheap...but it's also built like a tank and I've had ZERO issues with mine. Super easy to adjust and maintain.

100% agree! Glad others have the same experience, just took mine in for its first tune-up after winter riding and excited to get back out there.

At first I thought you were saying the radrunner didn’t work for you due to sweat and cargo capacity. I was a bit confused. I’m like that thing holds a ton of stuff and you can ride without sweating if you want. Love my runner

True! And Canada’s is right in the middle at 500W!
@littleripper3122 жыл бұрын
I'm in Canada with 500w limit but a lot of people are just riding illegal ones because it's not super obvious to people at least for now. Personally I will mod mine to go 1000w but no more as I think after that it becomes obvious especially if you're cruising up a steep hill.

Nice review on how you use the bike. No need to explain your reasons to ride to feel justified to those folks who look at you strangely or say your cheating. To heck with them . It’s a great mode of transportation and having fun as well. I’m thinking of buying one as well. Thanks for your input.

One question: when you go someplace where you have to leave your bike outside while you go inside, how do you make sure it doesn't get stolen?
@leoneranger93482 жыл бұрын
My question too...
@NickLinnen2 жыл бұрын
I find it really hard to feel safe leaving it outdoors, but when I do, I have a solid U-Lock as well as a cable to wrap around the lock and the wheel. I sometimes throw a second lock on their too. The only potential theft there is from attachments that are easily removed like the LCD screen or the seat. For that I just do my best to not leave it more than an hour or so at a time!

How do you find the motor response? Have you ever tried a Bosch or another mid drive with a torque sensor?
@NickLinnen2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried any other bikes so I can’t comment really, but I find it to be a little weak in some ways. It definitely doesn’t have amazing acceleration, but I’ve never needed it to be stronger either!

What's the range like? Can you adjust the handlebar height?
@NickLinnen2 жыл бұрын
The range I usually get is about 30-40 km I’d say, although when the batteries low you really feel it with acceleration. I don’t think you can adjust the handlebar height but because you can adjust the seat I’ve never had an issue!

I'm 6'2 and I fit fine on it. I find I never put the seat as high as I need it for full leg extension because I'm never really going that hard, but it definitely has the height if I needed it.
