Hi guys, I decided i would make a video about the inflatable Itiwit kayak I use for my kayak expeditions.
For me personally this has really improved and expanded my opportunities in adventuring, so if you dont already have a kayak or canoe etc. and like me, love to explore and expedition - then it might be something to consider for you guys.
Different tools for different tasks right?
Anyways, this particular kayak has really surprised me in really good value for money, the durability is way beyond expected.
Do you guys also kayak or canoe in your outdoor trips?

I just bought one of these because I like to go wild camping and for exactly the reasons you explained, I realized one of these will give me more places to camp - and also the bonus of not having to carry a heavy backpack on my back while hiking. Thanks for doing a good review.

Thats exactly what it Can do for you, it really expands your opportunities in outdoor campspots. And then it’s a bonus that you Can also take some Quick daytrips with your lunch and just go for a little sailtrip. Also, when youre driving plast lakes and so on, and you see theese beautifull little islands - you dont have to Settle for just the thought of (I wonder how that island looks like) - now go check it out instead :P you Will find new amazing spots.

We live in front of the lake here in Stockholm and what a better way to spend time now in this current situation and decided to add kayaking in our hobby ,so...my husband and I just bought one yesterday , same brand / single ( for beginners ...a total beginner :-)))). Thanks for sharing.

I use a cheap 12v electric pump and a 2200mah 3 cell lipo from one of my RC toys. I don't really do brand loyalty but have just ordered an itiwit 3 man so I can share with my family

Before i bought it, i could find two videos. Which really didnt tell me anything other than what i could read in the specifications. So i took a chance on it when i bought It. The first 15sec of your intro got me subbed !!! I'm looking to buy me a canoe for 2 years (I know hard to believe). I went through all the process of learning the pro's and con"s of each type and finally ended up thinking the Itiwit x100+ (2 or 3 seaters) would be my pick. Not a ton of info on these but they are so beautiful and look so stable and durable. They might not be the fastest ones, but I think they can be quite versatile. I live in Belgium where you can find them at every corner of the streets. Thanks for your work and sharing ! 2 yrs warranty, big store, no aftersale problems with those guys... sounds like a go to me.I have a 50kg american bully with me so I'm still wondering wether I should take the 2 or 3 seater. I would say if you want the dog to be able to lay in the kayak, and not just sit - and bring lugage it can be done if you can travel with a 90 liter duffelbag or so only. If you travel with more than that i would defo say go for the 3 person

@@ExpeditionHawk Really dude? The world is a small village !!! I found my big buddy laying on concrete in a cage where he spent 4 miserable years alone. He's probably the kindest dog I've ever had. Not too much training needed to make him get a nice behaviour. They seem to understand quite fast. He's very kind but also VERY protective, to the point nobody would want to touch me when he's on my lap... I'm trying to cool that down a little, but other than that he's just a joy to live with. A big ball of pure love lol! I can't thank you enough for all the good infos and your nice reply. I think I would rather go with the 2 seaters. I wish you all the best bro !

Nice to see you're happy with your purchase, it looks very good, but I wanted to mention there is another comparable option for half the price, it's the Intex Explorer K2, I got that one myself and was impressed by how well it performs for it's price, I haven't tried any other inflatable kayak tho so it's hard to say much about it other than it having enough space for both me as a male of about 100 kg and 180 cm height and my 10 year old nephew, we could fit a small drypack behind the back of the seat furthest back and between the feet of the person sitting in front, but it could also be used solo which would definitely leave a lot more space for bringing stuff with you. Slightly disappointing was the pump and carrying bag that came with it, but if there is one place I don't mind too much them saving money it's there instead of on the kayak itself.

I actually tried both the Explorer and the Challenger. They are good for the price thats for sure. But I Will say though, that this one is much more easy gliding and direktion stable and more quality feel compared to the Explorer K2 (which is also a good infl.kayak as said). I had different brands and models into consideration before i bought this one, and some og Them i tried. But this one was the best i could find for the price and my needs 😁🙏🏻 i Will though however buy a kayak more Soon and then i Will make a review of that one too - also and inflatable 😁😁😁

@@ExpeditionHawk right, one with a dropstitch floor which is extremely rigid. (In fact they have the one, two and 3 seater with dropstitch floor nad another one full dropstitch which is quite more expensive.

Hey man sorry for the late reply. Drop stitching should be more durable. But i will say it like this, ive put mine through serious beating and it didnt fail me. So i would personally save the money and get this cheaper model ✌️

Thanks for the video! We're about to purchase one or two kayaks, they will be our first. However, we're undecided if we should each get a yellow one (one-seater), each get the green one (one/two seater) or just one green one and sit in it together. Ideally we'd like to move as swiftly and comfortably as possible, for relaxing cruising as well as a (light) workout. Do you have any advice on which may be best suited for us?

Youre very welcome 😃 Well if you are two adults, i would defenitely recommend you to get a kayak each. And wether to buy a yellow or a green one each (i actually do believe the new version of two persons is also yellow but thats another thing - just keep that in mind) - comes down to lugage. How much do you plan on carrying on trips. If no more than one 80 liter bag. I would say take the yellow one, as it will be quicker to inflate and also weighs a little less and packs down a little smaller. But if you however sometimes carry 120 liter vag plus a couple of small ones. Then you should get the green one - each. Both are very easy to sail as one person.

How well does the fabric dry? I'm worried it will absorb water and dry very slowly? We are going to live in our van to travel Scandinavia and want to bring an inflatable kayak. But I don't want to have a permenantly wet fabric when it's packed away. Does it dry fairly quickly in your experience?

Helloo stephan. For that purpose, i will say this model is not suitable. As this type of fabric is not, fast drying. This model will however be suitable if you carry it on the roof, I have actually myself more than on one occation - carried it on my roofrack in inflated condition. It stands up well to the wind resistance on roof, if you tie it down. If you however, dont want to carry it on your roofrack. I would not, suggest this model. Then i would advice you to take a model with pure pvc surface, for example the intex explorer k2 or the sea eagle.

Whats it like to carry this after the fabric is wet? I am going on a two day hike 10 hours walking each day and 4 lakes you think this would be ok to lug around?

Gordon McCormack its defenitely not made for hiking. No, inflatable kayak is really made for hiking because of the volume, and the weight. It will be too heavy to carry along with your gear for 10 hour hikes. If you would want a solo inflatable boat you can bring on hikes - i would recommend getting a packcraft 🙌🏻

I actually did make a video of my longest trip, the big problem was though that my sd cards that it was recorded on got sd error after a faulty gopro back then. So i actually didnt have anything left exept a few useless pictures haha. But the trip was for 10 days in this kayak 😁🙌🏻

It Can, as Long as you make sure to not hook the boat haha. and also, dont expect it to be in one place, unless you Throw and Anchor ofcourse hehe

Well its for sure stable enough, but the reason why i say i dont recommend It for fishing is that in fishing, we ude hooks and knives and they in general dont mix with inflateable boats 😁 So i would say, if you fish from It - stay in swimming distance from the shore. But i can be done, ofc 😁

did you try the Intex Excursion Pro? If not, then I can't agree with your title. When you try both, and make an opinion on the both of them, then I would love to hear it.

I actually did try One of Those, but it did not suit my needs. Not because of price, cause they are roughly the same as i recall. But simply because the sides og IT are too low. The excursion is only about 45cms high. Which causes It to have considerable low sides compared to the itiwit. Thats great for fishing for example, etc. The itiwit is about 67cms high, which means It have around 22cms higher sides. And in the Places ive taken this kayak, rivers with quite heavy streams and waves. I defenitely prefer the higher side panels. Because that suits the purpose og carrying gear, and stowing gear around in the kayak - much Better with those higher sidepanels. Therefor, i feel the itiwit kayak - is a much Better choice for the money, for Adventure kayaking on a budget 😁 But the excursion pro is defenitely a well sailing infl. Kayak also..It just doesnt suit the need as well for adventuring, imo.

I mainly use my yak for fishing so I would understand that you would prefer the Itwit for camping and carrying stuff around. It does get wet, I agree with you!
