And because of how many times she complimented it, I ended up gifting it to her. That's when I realized how much I like the knife... so I went out and bought myself another one =^)

You MUST get Dallas on your videos. You and he make a perfect team. What I like is that you two are fun and funny, but not over the top. You focus on the knives and thorough discussions of them. But the natural humor is sprinkled in. Too many producers on KZbin make it all about THEM, showing off or trying to be comedians… and the product is like an afterthought. So you two are a breath of fresh air.

In one adventure, he was swallowed by a whale and was able to carve himself out with his knife. It was the story that got me into knives some 30 years ago. I miss my pop-pop. Keep Dallas on. Also how bout doing an episode on what got people into knives or why they carry them. Personally I started carrying one when I was around 11 because of something that happened to my aunt and uncle. One day they were driving on a highway and the car in front of them flipped. The lady driving was trapped in her seat belt upside down. Nobody that stopped had a blade on them wich was odd since this was in Montana. My aunt and uncle were able to find an old pair of scissors in the trunk of their car and managed to cut the ladies belt and get her out of the car right before it caught fire. Ever since that day I've carried a knife. I've always seen it as an essential tool for day to day life.

When I was 13 I was in the air cadets up here in Canada. The officers told us we needed a good pocket knife, and Camillus was supplying for them. But they weren't the best quality, so I started researching pocket knives. I came across a video (this would have been about 7 years ago now) with Ben in it (the one and only Ben from OG knife banter). He was reviewing some of the best EDC knives, and I settled on the Benchmade Mini Griptilian (which no longer fits my 20 year old hands). I ended up customizing it on the Benchmade site, and waited a month for it to get through customs. Now, 7 years later, I have about a dozen knives, which together could probably pay my tuition this semester. I even started designing knives, and hope to start producing them when I graduate. Love this show, as knives are one of my two main interests. Makes me feel like I'm part of a community, and everyone could use a bit more of that these days. Hope we get to see more of Dallas in the future, I very much enjoyed hearing his banter. Cheers Fellas.

In our family it is a right of passage as my sons grew they started with a pocket knife then graduated into survival knives as they matured. In my best friend's family and ours the giving of a knife is something that means that person is important to you. This tradition goes back generations including the giving of knives between families. I look back through my knife collection and don't just see a knife but memories of people I love and respect.

In full disclosure, I am Dallas’ brother. Here is my knife story...so, there I was...deployed detachment commander commander on an Air Force mission in a foreign country, a Major at that time. We were issued these awesome knives that had a spring assisted opening function. I was out in the tarmac (Air field) waiting for one of our crews to return from a mission. I was absently-mindedly springing the the knife open then closing it against my leg. During one of my reps, I let my middle finger wander between the blade and the case, slicing the end of the fleshy part of my finger almost off. I stuck my hand in my pocket where wrapped in a tissue and received the crew and helped them unload, then Beelined it to the medic. I convinced him to dress the wound off the record, haha. No Purple Heart for me! Unlike Dallas, I am not much of a knife guy! And great job, baby brother, you killed it on this episode!
