If the audio is raw, without editing, I’d say, the Razer sounded better. However, if I were to select one for myself, I would buy the Fifine (adjust manually) just because of the extra accessories that the Razer doesn’t have. All the best!

Hi Omar, I have two questions about StreamYard that I have been unable to find an answer for in tutorials yet. I am planning on using the “record only” option to record all of my videos so that I can have more variety to my talking head style of videos. The questions are: Is editing videos in “record only” mode possible, (larger files with screen sharing of websites, etc), and how does YT analytics read them after upload, (since they are not livestream nor a regular recorded video, either.) Hope I made sense! Thank you!

I use a Rode VideoMic and it honestly works so well. If you're someone who just wants to plug in mic and have it work without having to adjust any equalisers, settings or options, you honestly can't go wrong with it. I've used it for all my videos and I've never had any issues.

I remember shopping around for mics several years ago. These would have been cool finds back then. I really enjoy the cost and especially everything that comes with the Fifo which makes it a great starter kit and honestly both sound good enough to be mainstays. I currently use the Yeti Nano with Bluetooth Compass Boom Arm and the sound quality is outstanding but if I had seen and known about these options back then that's probably what I would have gone with.

I like the crisp sound of the razer .. but I think the fifine would be a good podcast mic - it also does have the extra bells and whistles so feels like the better choice to buying things separately ..

FiFine mics are really good. I’ve used most of them and still do many years later. Their boom arm last time I reviewed it, needs a lot of work. It feels extremely cheap.

So I went on your video talking about lapel mics, and ordered the one you had linked, but was very disappointed to see it came with 20 feet of cord! What am I going to do with 20 feet that doesn't involve me or someone else tripping on it? It's way too much to try to tuck away too. Audio is ok, not great, but the cord is a big issue! I don't remember you mentioning that in the video, you might want to double check that in case it changed 😬

also, the longer the cord is the more likely you are to pick up electrical interference, especially on these unbalanced microphones.

I know the feeling. When I use my lapel mic, I only “unwrap” what I need and keep the rest tide up with the Velcro strap, this way I don’t trip on it when standing. All the best!

Hi. So I bought a microphone, BM 800, in October. The microphone is good except that it has this “hissing” sound. Could you do an episode on how to fix that problem. I’ve tried many times and it’s still making that sound. Will appreciate it very much.🙏🏾🙏🏾

@@ThinkMediaTVI am based in the UK I have checked the website given here and it is different to the one I was led to from a post that appeared to come from Think Media ; it included a master class recording with Sean Cannell. After the master class the VRA was offered for 997USD. On the 22/2/2022 I paid for that course a receipt was sent via email containing a log in box that does not work and takes you to another video asking for more money for another class. It appears to be a scam I realise this now. I have been asked by the fraud department of my bank to wait 15 days for investigation to be completed. I like your work as the real creators but think it is an idea to inform people that this is happening..

I got the FiFine K669 at an Amazon Returns Sales shop for $6. My wife showed it to me, knowing I am into audio and video production, and I thought "No, cheap piece of crap." But then I held it and was SHOCKED at how much it weighed. I figured for $6 it was worth the gamble. I am incredibly surprised at the sound quality of this mic. I have better sounding mics, but for the price, and being USB, it sounds much better than it should. Anyone starting out should grab one of these. I use it for zoom conferences and I also consider it as a back-up if my Sennheiser large diaphragm mic were to fail, but that's not expected. It is definitely a piece for someone just starting, or looking to upgrade from what they started with.
