Fronius actually came up with a process for welding steel to aluminum a few years back. Never had a reason to try it myself, but seemed legit.

Personally I think you're burning through a bit and overpenetrating I'd add some wire feed and just keep doing what ur doing, these tools can be fickle but they're super loyal. Great video very cool to see the little machine in action before buying.

That definitely not a budget welder. Harbor freight sells a $240 welder that definitely works just as good as Jegs for half the price

@@DeathByBoost I been a diesel mechanic for 12 yrs. There blk sockets, and heavy duty rachets are better then top of the line. I used em never broke one. And it's lifetime trade in. The welder same thing. They do sell a lot of junk to. I can't see paying for a name. The results are the same in the end. But I'm poor so maybe that why I look at it like that.

I agree on some of the hand tools for sure I also have some harbor fright stuff. I have a hard time buying high end stuff it’s to pricey but as far as power tools I feel it’s best not to go super cheap. At that point you do get what you pay for

That’s not penetration on the back of that plate. That’s burn through. Over penetrating your material makes it weaker.
