This video came at the perfect time, I just bought my first bow and am in the market for a rangefinder.

Just ordered a Tidewe mini/875Y on Amazon for $60, plan on putting a few wide rubber bands around it to make it grippy to hold. Will figure out a way to make the lanyard work better than looping it around the eye piece. Maybe crazy glue or hot glue the lanyard to the unit.

Heres my thing with range finders i dont care it the range is accurate as its consistent. When i sight in my bow i mark my pins according to the range finder not a tape measure.

Just getting into archery and have bought an old Diamond Edge SB-1. Looking into range finders and have seen your video, have you tested the Gogogo Sport Vpro GS06CA Camo 650Y/1200Y with green readout?
@TheBudgetSportsman7 ай бұрын
I have tested a gogogo in the past but I don’t think it was that model. Most of the units in this video would be better than the GoGoGo that o tested several years ago.

Have you done an actual range/accuracy test?? Are they really accurate to a yard at 700 yards!????
@TheBudgetSportsman3 ай бұрын
I have range objects beyond 700 yards. I have not done any testing to see it’s accuracy at that distance

Just ordered the mini, thanks. to be clear - when using angle compensation - the adjusted yardage is what is displayed right? as opposed to it displaying the unadjusted yardage and the angle and you have to do the math?
@TheBudgetSportsman7 ай бұрын
It displays the line of sight distance in the middle and underneath it shows the adjusted distance.

@@TheBudgetSportsman So mine arrived and I mostly like it, however I'm disappointed that there is no spot to add a lanyard attachment. Seems like an important feature when you are up a tree. I may have to glue one on or something.
@TheBudgetSportsman7 ай бұрын
@youtoober87 I never use one so it wasn’t a big deal…and I forgot to mention it in the video. Mine came with a lanyard and no place to put it. Strange. The hr-f700 does have a lanyard attachment.

@@TheBudgetSportsman So I found some other videos. You are supposed to loop an included strap around the eye piece. Doesn't look like it would stay on very well. Either way mine didn't come with one. I'm returning it and getting a replacement since they can't just send me the strap. Seems like a good device otherwise

How long does the battery stay up in the tidewe?
@TheBudgetSportsman7 ай бұрын
You should have no trouble getting a full season out of it.

Bought the Tidewe for $45 and now the price is $70
@TheBudgetSportsman5 ай бұрын
Prices tend to fluctuate often. There are sales from time to time and always a coupon code including mine. $45 is a great buy, but it’s not uncommon to get it for under $60

Rechargeable batteries are only as good as their service life. Once they're done, they're done. The tidewe chinesium lasted 9 months before it was unable to be charged. Buy quality. Pay once, cry once.
@TheBudgetSportsman3 ай бұрын
ok, thats strange, because I have had multiple TideWe ranger finders and haven't had battery issues with any of them...not only that. I can't even remember the last time I actually needed to charge one of them. The battery lasts forever.

Holy cow it’s an actual budget channel everything under 70 bucks, that’s a budget non of this under 500 jargon where they call anything that’s not flagship budget.
@TheBudgetSportsman13 күн бұрын
Yes, these are about as low budget as they come, but the results have been good in my experience.

I bought the Acpotel and it was total crap. Hard to read, hard to find a distance, sometimes just gave no distance at all. Returned it to Amazon.
@TheBudgetSportsman10 күн бұрын
Man sorry to hear that. Tidewe is still my favorite budget range finder…Unfortunately, it seems on this level of budget it’s possible that you’re going to get a dud.

@@TheBudgetSportsman Based on your video I ordered the Tidewe 700 from Amazon and hoping for a better result, thank you!
