Hey i followed your advice and has now the Lumix G7 with obs and the elgato 4k camlink installed. But i have 2 major problems with this setup you haven't touched. OBS is not sync with my lips & voice and secondly there i hear a electronic low level noise over the headset if i have the camera running... I didn't expect such a hustle by installing this setup... buying a webcam and simply plugin would saved me stress... have you any advice for me what i can do? I must also add that the Picture looks really kind of wash out, not even close to your picture quality.

Thank God someone who is clear and makes it simple. I have bene having issues streaming but I think it might be the capture card and or Cable being an issue for me. Thank you for pointing this out. I'll report back with my findings.

I also use the Panasonic Lumix G9 with its USB cable and Ecamm and Zoom to live stream to FB, the nice thing about the G9 you do not need a power supply because the battery is constantly charged through the USB cable. My next project is to get setup for two cameras. I also use the M50 at times.

So I’m having issues getting the Elgato HD60 S+ to capture my Lumix G7, yet I can get it to work with my Xbox Series X. That would mean something is wrong between the camera and the capture card, right? Are there specific settings the G7 needs to be on?

Hello friend, one question, do you recommend the Sony a6000 for long streams, I have a little doubt and fear since I do live streams on twitch and they are long maybe 4 or maybe 6 hours and obviously the camera will be connected to a fake battery connected to the electricity all the time, that's why the reason for my fear when streaming I don't know if the camera overheats they told me that the Lumix G7 doesn't overheat in video and I don't know which one to choose I would appreciate it if you gave me your opinion, I hope see your answers, thanks.

I love the Lumix G7, but I've only shot videoes for max 2 hours at a time. Still after two hours the camera didn't feel warm. Gonna try streaming with it when I get the dummy battery in a couple weeks

Trying to get a bit serious about my streaming, and I have a G7, but hadn't been using it because I bought a Nikon D850, but bought a $50 webcam...and was setting up and forgot I could stream with my g7. LOL....I just bought all the accessories from your link, except the Camlink Capture. I literally just bought the Elgato HD60s. Hopefully it looks good through that, if not, I'll have to double back and get the Camlink.

No, just onlu if you are recording. You just need to make sure you buy the power supply from the link in the description. That 30 min limit is only for recording.

The lens doesn't make a difference on whether you can record or not. Yeah it should work.

@@nanan_hello For some odd reason when i plugged it into my Capture Card I could not get anything to pop up. Any advice on how to get it to work? The only reason I put what lens was in there was to specify the camera! I don't know how to work these cameras that well.

@@jradditto3050 I don't have these materials but from what you are saying, I think you should plug the camlink into the mini HDMI slot in your camera, then connect the camlink usb to the computer. The reason why Elgatos/camlinks are used is because with this Lumix G7 the direct HDMI output doesn't work for some reason. Let me know if this helps bro.

Get the Canon M50 Canon now has a webcam utility and you do not need the extra equipment just a micro USB cable and you are ready to go. Panasonic also has a webcam utility but the G7 is not supported.

@@Hakeem597 The webcam utility is not wifi it is a software utility that various camera makers have developed so you can use your DSLR or Mirrorless Camera as a web cam without spending $100 dollars or so on a capture card. If you have a DSLR or Mirrorless camera do a search for the utility. How it works is you connect from the HDMI output of your camera into a USB port on your PC. Yes it woks with OBS, Zoom, Ecamm and all the other ones.
