I LOVED the video Jeven. I had to make a comment on this because that is what I am primarily teaching on youtube here... how to use this camera. I've made many videos about this little thing and being here for under a year, this camera is a win win situation for me right now... I do shoot 12 years on big DSLRs absolutely hate them for video. I have Canon 5D Mark III and I knew immediately after 1 try that it is strictly my photography camera. I hate the focus issue on that camera. I started doing KZbin on Vixia camcorder which was OK but wanted something better. Vixia is now my 2nd and back up camera. I picked up M50 for its' autofocus and I love it. It solved all problems, I can get great B roll with my EF lenses + Adapter and it looks really good. I am also a stock photographer and I realized that after a years I can start selling video as well, but just like you mentioned in the video, I was also very disappointed in 4K video crop and it's autofocus. It is not a 4K camera.... I know I will stick with this camera for a long time... but as I will build my channel and make some changes in my studio in terms of cameras. I still have another 5D mark I which might just go and M50 will replace it for weddings if I think photography is decent with it... I will most likely start looking for great 4K camera... that would be my next step.... but still ahead... Completely agree. Rather use my iPhone for 4K. I went with the sx740 and have no regrets in 1080p. More affordable as well.

This is my first ever interchangeable lens camera, I bought it for my channel content and I'm loving the ease of use. To this point, I've only used the kit lens but have ordered the 50mm f1.8 which should be here this week which I'm also looking forward to trying out. I've also added a Movo VRX10 shotgun microphone that produces very good sound quality. To this point, I'm very satisfied with this camera and look forward to using it as my primary shooter for some time to come.

I've owned the M50 for about 6 months. It's my main vlogging camera and actually a pretty capable client-video-production camera - within reason. Although the 11-22 is a good pick, i think the 15-45 is a better choice. Both have IS but that extra reach makes b-roll as well as pieces-to-camera easy. The problem with it is the reason it's so cheap - it's got 4K, but it may as well not have really - certainly not for vlogging. Find for shooting b-roll but for the rest, the auto focus is hopeless. A lot of people are very snippy about the M50 for some reason but right now, in 2019 it's a great choice. When 4k is the norm rather than the usual (so next year or the year after) it'll be a relic. Make sure you do a firmware update as soon as you get it though - there's a number of things in the update that's not in the retail versions.

It’s the main camera I use for my videos, I prefer it to the Canon 70D I was using before. The 1080p autofocus is great, but I still love the 4K in manual focus. Great video by the way.

I like that it supports lenses so that customization in the future is easier than a point and shoot camera.

Good review Jeven. The M50 was at the top of my list until the a6400 came out. I was set on the a6400 but stumbled on some reviews of the RX10 IV. For my purposes the RX10 has the functionality and flexibility that I need without having to swap out lenses for every photo/video op.

Great video I have already spent countless hours researching cameras for KZbin and I already decided to get the M50. In fact, I will be ordering it later today. The video looks great and the price is very good right now. Plus, Canon now has free software that will let me use it as a webcam for Zoom, Skype, and other applications and this will save me $130 since I won't have to buy a CamLink 4K. You really can't go wrong with the M50. Also, thanks for the tip on the Feiyu Tech G6 gimble. I also like the newer G6 Max which will hold a little more weight.

This is a great video! It seems like the footage you got out of it is a bit sharper than a lot of the other people I've seen use it -- was that done in post? I’ve been exclusively Canon since my first autofocus camera, the Canon EOS 650 that I bought in 1988. Currently using the EOS 5D Mark III that I bought about 5 years ago. I’ve hesitated to go mirrorless for both performance and lens compatibility issues but seeing the performance from the M50 as shown in this video (plus the much lighter weight) I may have to consider it. If the 4K video was more rock-solid I think it would be a no-brainer for me...

The focus issues seen in this video are caused by not obeying the minimum focus distance of the 22mm lens. I have been using this camera for a while now and it focuses wonderfully even in 4k without dual pixel AF. Using the 11-22mm lens even the additional crop is no problem. The ideal setup is M50 plus 11-22mm for KZbin. It has OIS and a focal length that suits both FHD and 4K vlogging.

I careered around the Canadian Rockies with my M50 and it was awesome. I wanted an exchangeable lens camera that just worked and was a natural upgrade from the G7X. It was pretty much perfect. And you can't beat that dual pixel auto focus. It. Never failed me anyway.

Jeven, great review! I have a question. I currently have an A6000, A5000 and I shoot photography professionally with a D750 Nikon. I want to start a new youtube channel but find the A6000 and A5000 a bit cumbersome because of the lack of the audio input.
