Hello. Just to make a correction in case anyone is interested in purchasing, at 6:10 you mention that the PK nomatic bag comes with an extra pack (it doesn't). It's an additional fee if one chooses it as an add on
@jacobgoodine20823 жыл бұрын
So true, however we did actually get it for free because we bought it when it had a promotion on the Nomatic website. They often have such offers. Now ironically we also bought one of the other extra tech cases that was made for this bag and its the only part of the PM bag we use (we have our mics in it). Otherwise the OneMo has been our main bag.

The comparison between the OneMo and the McKinnon. That's hilarious and great marketing at the same time. Awesome review video, thanks!

Iʻm trying to decide between the Shimoda Explore 30 V2 backpack and the PGYTech Onemo 30L backpack. What are your thoughts? I need a bag to carry my Canon R6, 24-70 and 70-200mm lenses and assorted accessories while traveling (city walks in Europe) and especially meet the airlines requirements for carry on. Your comments would be really appreciated.

I haven’t tried a Shimoda yet but the OneMo is still one of my favorite go to bags. I have reconfigured it several times as our gear has evolved. I started with having too Eos Rs in it, one 70-200 rf and one 24-70rf on them. Now its my cinema bag for the C70 and everything I use to shoot with it. Im a huge fan of the OneMo!

great video! how thick is the backpack strap of the OneMo? I have a Peak Design Capture Clip and I need to know if I can attach it. It can only support 2.5 inch camera strap. thank you!
@soldoutmedia80253 жыл бұрын
It might be a tight fit. Its roughly 2.5 inches i believe

Thank you! You should definitely be able to fit some clothes in the front of the Onemo bag. Thank you for watching!

Yes, I have the OneMo backpack and it can fit 1 pant and 2 shirts easy. I like using a packing cube to fit in the front. And its great for holding and extra pair of shoes.

*I was going to Do the Peter McKinnon then came across the OneMo and Bought it and haven't had any regrets for buying it. But NOW, there's a NEW McKinnon Everyday one, so you should Do a review on that one in a vs comparison. Nice review as I don't think I've seen many vids on the comparisons*

We have joined the kickstarter for the McKinnon Everyday pack, right now it says it will ship in the fall. The McKinnon one is a very well made bag but the OneMo has been our favorite this year. I am excited to see how the new pack holds up. Thanks for commenting

What about the Lowepro Protactic AW450 II backpack? I bought it for $167, a great deal.
@soldoutmedia80253 жыл бұрын
I was so close to getting the Protactic on multiple occasions (the 350 too). But why I was more interested in the other bags we tested was the dividers in the Lowepro. I have over the years had several Lowepro bags and they last forever but I find myself constantly re-adjusting the dividers. It might sound arbitrary but thats why we tested the Pgytech instead. Heads up i. March we have two more back pack reviews coming. Thanks for the comments!

I would like to know if the OneMo does it fit a 17.3" laptop. I've checked their website but I'm still not sure.
@soldoutmedia80253 жыл бұрын
I am pretty sure it does- its huge for my 16” MacBook. Since I do not have a 17” I grabbed a 17.5 “ cutting board from my kitchen and it fits in the laptop compartment with my 16” MacBook Pro. I will ask around if any one has a 17” here. The pocket is 17.5 across, 12” wide, 18” long and 1 3/4” deep. Hope this helps thanks for watching!
@arhiiso3 жыл бұрын
@@soldoutmedia8025 Thank you very much for answering me! I asked because on their website, the official numbers for the laptop compartment are 10.6 x 16.3 x 1.3 inches, but in many videos, it seemed bigger, as you just told me. It's really hard to find a good backpack for photographers that can fit a 17.3-inch gaming laptop. Stay safe!

Re PGYTech vs McKinnon, you're really comparing a 25L Honda to a 35L Land Rover. The former is EDC whereas the latter is designed for extended travel which are two different things. Love my PM - it's built like a tank. PM released a new, smaller EDC backpack which would be a better comparison to the PGYTech
@soldoutmedia80252 жыл бұрын
We actually ordered the new PM EDC when it was announced on kickstarter. It was promised to ship in October now they are saying March. I do see what you are saying but I think for my height the pgy tech fits the need of what the PM was meant for. We have talked about this bag so much as a team and we all agreed if you are the body build of a guy like Peter Mckinnon this bag is prefect, but somehow for all of us short folks we find it super uncomfortable. I love alot about this bag but the deal breaker is that its just uncomfortable. But it has to be the height factor. Out of curiosity are you a taller person? Thanks for the comments!
@Tvj_films84523 жыл бұрын
Sorry, but this review needs more details. You guys just opened up the PGYtech and the Nomatic and barely showed what it is capable of holding. You just opened up the bags and said yup you like them for the next 5 minutes. .

There is one big problem with the mckinon bag, as a professional photographer I really don't want a hipsters name on my bag, especially if I have to overpay the bag to advertise a hipster who does mediocre and useless photography videos on youtube.
@soldoutmedia80253 жыл бұрын
The OneMo is definitely more value for your money- we have some new backpack reviews coming soon with a variety of styles. Let is know if there are any backpacks you want to see us review. Thanks for commenting

@@soldoutmedia8025 Maybe some new stuff from lowepro, My best bag is still my Lowepro Stealth Reporter D300 AW, I bought it more than 10 years ago and after heavy use it's still in very good shape and I still use it frequently, very impressive I can say and it has the perfect size for what I need... Then I bought onother lowepro backpack which was too small and now I ordered the pgytech onemo, I hope it will be great :) I searched a lot of bags before ordering the pgytech, I was also considering the Manfrotto redbee 310, which looks very good, but I don't like as much the design and the lowepro pro tactic 350 which is probably very good, but looks ugly, I also considered the Peak Design BTR-45-BK-1 , but it's expensive and might not fit in a airplane standard size. I also considered the Lowepro Freeline 350 AW which looks nice, but too small and doesn't expand like the onemo... I hope it helps :) keep making videos :) I really spent a lot of time in searching for the right bag and your video helped :)

@@Noname-yu8qw We have recently reviewed the Freeline backpack. It’s actually a really nice build quality! Thanks for the recommendation!
