Another great feature of the little nut cup thing, is the lines on the inside, it doubles as a measuring cup :) each line is 0.5 dl, it holds 1,5 dl total :) - it's been quite handy when adding water to freeze dried meal packs and such :)

I do use the Original Meal Kit for many years, it "found me" in a local thrift store for $3 (~!!!~), in original packaging. Brand new, not even one tiny scratch on it, and my favorite color -> green! Being a hiker/camper for almost all my life, I was just SQUEALING, because I knew about the 'LightMyFire'-kits, but I never bought one because of the hefty price and doubts about durability, because 'it is plastic,...'. Little I did know HOW durable it is, since I use it every year for several months, on all my trips, short or long. It is anyhow ALWAYS in a small bag in my SUV, together with a little water purifying device, a tiny foldable camping stove inside a stainless steel cup, "just in case" I feel the need for a tea or something to eat on a longer drive. The SPORKS I use for even longer, in each purse and backpack is one, and in the glove compartment of my SUV of course. The Original Meal Kit had the smaller drinking cup, but for me it was always big enough. The old kit had also no harness, I made one with wide black elastic and upholstery thread, the narrow edges burnt to prevent fraying, and it is still in use after all these years. Way to go, LighMyFire! I had no idea that it is still being sold, even as a BIO version. Don't want to miss mine for sure, it might even outlive me, I am retired now and still hiking/camping, though, shorter trips. And I still enjoy looking at my green meal kit. Great push for the environmentally - friendly gear. Just got the Grandpa Grill and 2x Fireforks for hot dogs (which is mostly what we eat when we go outdoors 😂).

Have you tried their cups? I love their brand, but someplace say that the cup is not good for hot liquids. What is your opinion on this?
