The timing was right and I tried your coffee grinding dance yesterday. Can’t say it helped the coffee but I did manage a side eye from the folks at the tent site next to me. 😊 I use the little collapsible silicone coffee doober and am very happy with it.

I use a Soto Helix pour over and I love it. It compresses down flat, so uses very little space in my pack and takes cone filters, which don’t weigh anything. As far as keeping it hot, I use a Yeti insulated coffee mug and I have nice, hot coffee for at least an hour, even on cold mornings. Never seemed to have any problems with slippage and it is a metal-on-metal situation.

I like my coffee very hot so pour overs do not do it for me. I also like it fast and easy to clean. I have the Brutek French press with the bottom that screws off to empty the grounds and hate it. It is still a mess to clean. So now I have an Aeropress XL. For me that works fast, coffee is plentiful, very hot and it is easy to clean. They also recently came out with a travel model that is compact and easy to pack.

I love Kuju pour over it's delicious and easy.

No doubt but single use packaging. That’s a turn-off for me. 🤷‍♂️

I have to agree! The only way to make really good coffee is to grind the beans minutes before it brewed!

Hate pour over coffee but specially for camping. By the time is in your cup is cold, actually it is cold most of the time. I like french press, if I’m camping or at home by myself I use a Zyliss cup, even though is plastic is double wall with a lid keeping bugs out, for 2-3 people I bring Stanley press, they’re both very easy to clean with limited water or sometimes I bring a stovetop espresso.

Great video but I’m pretty sure your grind for the pour over is too course. Needs to be finer. That sort of coarseness is great for cafetière or cold brew but not pour over.
