I just built the bike mount build in my Element. I was going to mount the steel plated to the floor thinking it would be more stream line but I would have had to remove my beloved rubber trunk tray. Low and behold I had a 1x6 board cut to the exact required length (the spoils of over buying wood for projects) and completed the build really for one maybe two bikes (but mainly for one). Came out perfect. Thanks for the idea!!!!

I like the table idea. One thing though, I have never in my life needed a table to cut the cheese, lol.

Check out the Fifth Element inserts for the Element. It lets you keep the bike inside and live with it

I saw another variation of a bike mount - They used a board such as yours but cut the ends in a rounded point shape and set each end in the area just below and to the left where you placed yours and it kind of wedged in to maintain its place - They also just bolted down a couple of bike mounts but they were in a rail like system so they could be moved to multiple locations...

Well done...I loved all the info you shared in this video. I especially liked that your tips were mostly just that...things anyone can do with what the E comes with without spending a penny. Also, your table and bike system are so affordable that anyone could do them. Definitely looking forward to your other Element videos for storage and conversion ideas. We just returned from a 5 day camping trip where we car camped the first night and tent camped the other 3. It was pure magic. Don’t think I had any idea how to make best use of the space in the Element though as this was our first camping trip in it. How hard are the rear seats to remove and put back in? I need one of them in for a child booster/car seat but the other seat we just folded up this time. It does take up a lot of room though, even folded to the wall. Considering removing the driver’s side back seat, but would need to be able to pop it back in pretty easily because I have nowhere to store it. Do the rear seats need tools to remove? Single Mom here without a lot of skill or tools. Absolutely loving the Element we searched for 2 years for though. Best car for our lifestyle ever! It’s our tiny house on wheels. I subbed so I can be here for any other Element videos you make!

Fellow New Englander as well Great video, exactly the reason I just bought an E. I hike, bike, paddle, fish ski/ snowboard and snowshoe. Thanks for showing the basics and how to maintain the versatility of the vehicle. Love the stow away table. Will try to make if you give the specs. Also what seat covers do you have? Was told I couldn’t put them on my 07 bc of the seatbelts.
