Meguiar’s beat them with ease, but the turtle wax did very good considering that bottle is only like $7 at Walmart. That mustang needs a good compounding throughout with the rotary and wool pad, that will bring most of that paint back to life, then a good follow up with the ultimate polish and DA for the second step.

actually for longevity and not to get into too much trouble. i pick turtle wax. since mcguire cuts quite a bit.

Great test! I've been looking for this kind of comparison because my local options are limited for polishing compounds.

Seems like Turtle wax is still better. Anyway a good idea to compare. Thanks for this sharing to everyone 👍❤️

to be fair the NuFinish isn't really a polish. It's a sealant with fillers and optical brighteners. If you give that trunk lid a decon wash and set it back outside within a month or two the Nufinish section will return to being oxidized. The Meguiars and Turtle Wax are both finishing polishes, with the Meguiar's being a bit more abrasive. Both are great as a second step after compound to remove haze. I'd give the turtle wax an edge up here as it requires a lot less product and has a much longer dwell time to work the product. But it really comes down to what you are using it for.

@riccochet704 👍 your right the meguiars is a tad bit more abrasive.
@joeschmoe69084 ай бұрын
I don't believe the meguiars is more abrasive. It contains fillers in addition to the abrasives which makes it appear to be cutting more. Both only have fine abrasives, and would dall into the category of finishing polishes.

Great video. NuFinish is a sealant and not a conventional polish. Ultimate Polish has oils and fillers and is a glaze. TW Polishing Compound is a pure polish with oils and zero fillers. I used the TW PC on a 2017 Soul Red Mazda 6 with very minor water etching and love marks, with two twelve inch scratches on the hood. The oils deepened the color and did nothing in the way of correction. OTH, I have had look correcting scratches with CG V4 Polish + sealant on a 2011 Race Red F150. The V4 leveled two moderately deep scratches that could be felt ever so slightly with a thumbnail prior to application.

Think the turtle wax would’ve looked better if their rubbing compound was used beforehand but for $7 it’s still a good deal
@joeschmoe69084 ай бұрын
These products are all totally different. The turtle wax is a traditional abrasive polish designed to remove light defects. The meguiars also contains abrasives, but has fillers as well to hide scratches, and the nu finish is basically a synthetic wax/sealant. Like comparing an apple, orange, and banana and saying which is the best fruit?

@@quickspoolgarage What do you mean not really? Are you disagreeing with my take on the products? Because a tiny amount of research, along with a thorough reading of the labels will tell you that I've described them correctly. I'm not saying your comparison was worthless, seeing the results could help some people. I do appreciate your effort.

How long would you say it will take you to polish the whole car ?
@quickspoolgarage11 ай бұрын
There are to many variables to give you an exact time frame. It all depends how badly damaged the clear is. But If the vehicle has been maintained and your just wanting to do a wash, clay bay, and a polish I’d say 2-3 hours to do it right.
