Question for you, Rob: you said you had 2800lbs of fuel which was light. How do you account for the fuel burn while sitting on deck waiting? Between sitting around for the FOD check to be done and setting up for the cat shot you must burn a bit of fuel. Is this enough to make your take off weight different than your initial calculations or is it not significant enough to make a difference?

Wow! Really enjoy your videos Rob! Thank you for your service to our country, I really appreciate it! My Dad was in the Navy and fought in Vietnam! He was on a destroyer USS Alt! He actually went shore side cause he was a radioman and called in air strikes! He saw a lot of crazy stuff! He was shot down in two different helicopters a Huey and a Chinook and survived them both! Thank you again! ,freedom isn’t free and the lessons we learn are written on the tombstones of others!

Rob Roy and Growler Jams are my all-time favorite aircraft flyboy sites. I fly vicariously through your narrations. I'm an ex-Navy diver recon and SAR diver (not US) and while life did not grant me the opportunity to become a pilot (yet?) I've accumulated a considerable amount of left seat/right seat/skid seat passenger time.

One of my favorite anecdotes from tankers is they were fueling up an F-16, when done loading fuel, Falcon flyer pulls out ahead of the tanker and does a barrel roll. "Bet you guys wish you could do that," he says over the radio. Tanker captain replies, "Do that again. My co-pilot was getting his dinner out of the oven." Do I believe the veracity of the claim? Not really, but it's still funny.

Admire AND Respect the profound trust everyone on that Ship and Plane have for each other! The preflight launch of The Pilot Pass Off is such a well orchestrated "Hot Potato" 🤣 But seriously, everyone involved is on the same page and ever so vigilant of their responsibilities! No rushing, no second guessing. Just complete trust in one another. The FAD is a Poster for 'All Hands On Deck" ! I'm wondering what the craziest object ever found on one of those Walk Throughs might be? As a kid and even now as an Adult Kid I enjoyed the endings of videos so that I could check out the credit roll...BUTT...I absolutely LIVE foe those WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO's and SEE YA 🤣 Cheers From The Clouds In COW-lumbus, Ohio MOO 👋
