The Galaxy 959B has a weak RX? This list was written by somebody who knows nothing about CB radios. The 959 is renowned for its receiving sensitivity and clarity. It is second to none as far as regular consumer, purpose built CBs go.

I have cobra 29 lx bt ,the volume is very low,some body recommended to replace the microphone and is not changes,the other cb 25 lx sounds 20 times more stronger,what's another suggestion.

What does anyone think of the president line? They used to be really high end. In the mid seventies I had a President Grant and it was Great! Later we had the CPI Line which was $$$$ expensive and was considered the most high end of all. It performed great on SSB. But the AM out was clear but not super loud like the Grant. I have only great memories of our days on CB. Does anybody have experience with today's unidens and today's President CB's?

Have a President Bill FCC that’s paired with an amp that gets out very well. It’s a mini sized CB without SSB but has Weather channels. Most people I talk to on it say it’s very clear and loud locally. I have talked to people as far as eastern Canada on DX from central Alabama. It has settings to lower your wattage or raise it. Also change modulation. Great little radio that I have been very impressed with for being so small.

I got a Realistic TRC 435 but without a mic. Can someone direct me to the correct microphones for this CB? What brand and where can I buy it. I tried hooking the TRC 435 up to my power supply and antenna, but I assume that, like my Cobra 29, the mic is an integral part of this CB's operation. My Cobra mic has a four (4) pin setup, this TRC 435 seems to take a mic with more. Thank you in advance.

Realistic TRC 435 may have a different microphone pin set than the Cobra. You'll need to check the schematics and compare the microphone pin set up and compare it the the TRC 435. If the pins for the microphone on your radio are the same as the Cobra then getting a microphone is easy. I would recommend an Astatic that can be picked up at just about any CB supplier/truck stop.

For the stock mic you would need a Realistic 5-Pin model 21-1172. There are other mics that are wired for the Realistic line of CB's, just make sure that they are wired with a 5 pin DIN plug on the end of the mic cord. Many CB radio dealers will wire an aftermarket mic for your radio for a small fee, just ask.

Uniden Bearcat has one of the worst boards in the market. Until Uniden determines they're going to fix the board issues I wouldn't even consider their CB. I had one of the new Cobra 29s. The problem I ran into was the LCD screen. I lost the screen when traveling for pleasure in the southwest US during summer as 90+ degree temperatures will kill an LCD screen. I would recommend staying away from any LCD screen unless you are running AC full time in areas of heat.

I gave up with the Cobra LX Max. I received one as a gift right before the Covid lock downs. I still have an operating Cobra 29 from 30 years ago, unfortunately, the the Cobra LX Max didn't last 30 days. Essentially, it was junk right out of the box. The radio never functioned as advertised, then it stopped working after three weeks. Worse yet, Cobra didn't back up their product. They kept putting me off due to Covid. I gave up after several attempts to get the radio replaced or repaired.

Try turning down the squelch a lot of drivers run the squelch to high

Turn down the squelch and get a better antenna. And then learn grammar or rightful spelling.
