This was so fun to play and for someone who has limited gaming time. This was perfect. I'm using the Non-Uber version with low Masterworking and it's skyrocketed my power!

So far up to clearing T5’s with this build, loving it so far even if I haven’t got it optimized yet. I’m clinging to my Rakanoths Wake boots to max Frigid Fate and more CDR even tho I have a pretty good GA Esu’s. don’t have Tal Rasha either somehow (Varshan hates me) and no mythics yet (solo boss mat farming is so tedious). Also using Fists of Fate so really kinda doing my own thing I guess and trying to be this build. It's tons of fun either way, tyvm!! Got my sub for this one

It's not chain lightning carrying this run. ;) It's a weaker version of a fractured winterglass lightning spear build. If they got rid of axial pants and chain lightning and switching to a 2h staff with splintering energy on it, this would be an even faster clear. ^^

@@cloudz965 When you start with fractured winterglass lightning spear, I would wear the tibault's will unique pants for mana reg because you can't sustain the frozen orb spam. In the super endgame, when you have +10 conjuration mastery ranks, you could switch to regular pants with orange herald aspect for perma unstable currents. But beware, this build needs several hard requirements overall just to be playable! You absolutely need 60% cooldown, 90%+ crit chance, absurd amounts of crit damage (1000%+), an almost perfectly rolled fractured winterglass with 0.3 seconds on cd reset, high rolled legendary affix and greater affix on ranks of conjuration mastery! Those are the minimum requirements! ... Just so you know, you might not be able to play the build without all of this

If I switched to all of that then this would be a LS build. Splintering is not carrying this build.

But I think you compromised both of them by doing this. ^^ CL would do more dmg without the splintering energy aspect and fractured winterglass and LS would do more dmg with splintering on a 2h staff and no CL powers. But I can see that your build works perfectly fine. All good. :)

GA’s will always provide more power. This variant is squishy, but you could always put on Tyraels for more survivability. You could go my Andariel’s variant putting Starlight aspect on the amulet and you will have no mana issues.

Hey Roxy, I like the build experimentation. What do you think of a Lam Essen, Axial Conduit and unstable cooldown build with splintering on the amulet? Core skills on gloves and Starless, and GA on pants and staff skill ranks could put both skills on 200ish %. CL casts from CL enchant and unstable. Conjuration mastery, axial, lam Essen and starless for mana management, so stack attack speed. LS from direct cast and unstable. The theory being almost all unstable procs do reasonable damage to make up for not putting all eggs in one basket, and splintering and CL for aoe.

Not sure why people think winterglass+ splintering makes this a lightning spear build. Everything is dumped into CL for damage and Winterglass giving +9 conjuration mastery is super great for mana regen+ damage for this and ALL lightning sorc builds. Chain Lightning is doing most of the damage here with LS helping a little bit.

on the seventh page of paragon, a rare node tells me that I need to have 540 dexterity and 520 willpower, but I only have 501 in dexterity and 511 in willpower how did you get all the bonuses on the seventh page?

Lightning Rod is fine, but Splintering's AoE is a little better for this kind of content. I can upload a T8 clear without Splintering using Lightning Rod instead.

This is a lightning spear build variant but instead of casting frozen orbs youre casting CL. Youre reducing your CL damage for lightning spear damage and unfortuately since you cant use the frozen orb aspect in this setup, youre missing out on alot of cooldown reduction.

@@aphrorox it works i tested it personnally with the dummies so you go that wrong. But as I stated initially, I'm not saying your video is wrong of deceitful, it's really just that chain lightning isnt the main component of it a.k.a it's a frozen orb build with axial and chain slapped on it which rightfully makes us all say that chain lightning is mostly an afterthought here instead of the main dish. Nothing personnal against you but it's pretty pointless to argue otherwise

So do I need to post another T8 without Winterglass and Splintering for these comments to stop? Winterglass is for the Conj Mastery stacks because no other amulet in the game comes close to that many stacks. Idgaf about the other stats and Splintering does decent AoE…an unmaxed aspect on a 1-hander at that. It’s not even close to being the main source of damage in my build.

That looks a lot like taking the Lightning Spear with frozen orb build and throwing CL in it just to call it yours, for similar or worse results & QoL.

GA Conjuration Mastery stacks from Winterglass are quite nice to help restore my 300+ mana pool that CL eats through. I can substitute Lightning Rod, Conceited, etc. for Splintering and clear T8 just fine. No need to throw shade.

It's not shade but the copium to say chain lightning is the core of the build is plain wrong. I'd estimate 30% chain, 50% spear, and 20% orbs/vyrs/misc. @@aphrorox

In saying this though, blizzard will likely nerf the pure lightning spear build. This is the only build that doesnt have a hard cap which is why its performing so well. Im surprised this made it live. Blizzard will add some sort of cap. Most likely cap the number of spears you can summon.

I'm using this amulet because of it's insanely high ranks to Conjuration Mastery passive for damage and mana regen. When using this amulet, Conjurations have a chance to cast a frozen orb. So when I cast Ice Blades or Lightning Spear, there is a chance that a frozen orb will pop out.
