Sucks u had a bad experience on this build but I appreciate your honesty. U seem like an honest, down-to-earth guy & it’s why I subscribed to your channel. I think u should keep the guitar, pickups, etc & make it a project to get it the way u want. I think it might even be cathartic for u to get it the way u want. I’m still impressed by Cathy’s work, from what you’ve shown. And it sounds like her character is right up there too. I’m going to be contacting her in the next couple of months to get a couple of custom builds too. I’ve an LP style custom build I’d like for her to take on along with an idea for a Randy Rhoads asymmetrical V style guitar. I’m excited about going over those possibilities with her & hope they come out great, like that Greeny LP she did for u.

Seems like everybody wants a redo of this guitar but I think you should leave those pickups in there they sound good put them EMGs and something you're really going to keep for yourself and love. Maybe a better idea would be to try to relic the guitar break out your sanding disc take care of that neck profile (I'm so glad you said something about that because I hate absolutely hate playing a baseball bat neck I need to have a shredder neck or a very thin type fender neck I just can't stand even less Paul neck hence the reason I don't have an LP lol) but then take that sanding disc fix those drippy ends and the battery box thing and just kind of scar it up real good Make it look like it's been through a tour or two I think that would be pretty cool! Basically make the "rust in peace" rust in peace lol and that is my favorite Megadeth album absolutely!!!

I had some quality issues with a custom guitar I ordered from Cathy that weren't deal breaking, but she made everything right money wise and I ended up ordering another one from her. Since you're keeping it, I'd sand and refinish, then use one of those fret board darkening compounds.

Strip it back, fill and sand, refinish with some other rad design and put them expensive pickups in it. You'll definitely have a great guitar after a bit of work 😀

Bummer. I ordered a stock guitar from Cathy when I ordered two customs. Unfortunately the factory did not have it in stock but sourced some from someone else. The specs were somewhat different than what was originally listed. I approved the difference but then found other builders with those specs and made me wonder what I will be actually getting when it arrives because I could have gotten it cheaper from one of those other builders. Just makes me wonder

Kinda painful to watch. Sorry it didn't work out but appears parts of the build were out of her control and things went south. My vote would be a partial repaint and hopefully you can keep the artwork on the top. Biggest problem I've run across with garden variety chibsons is intonation issues. I've got two currently that I really love but need the bridge repositioned as saddles are maxed out. Is what it is, watcha gonna do 🤷‍♂

Her subcontract builders are crapping all over her and the clients. Becoming obvious her hands are not on the builds and her eyes are not in the quality control.

Personally i would put daves livewires in it as that was how it was done on his real v, i had a bad experience with cathy myself so i don't buy from her ,but each to their own choice. i am thinking of getting that kind of v after i stupidly sold my real gears of war.

I just received my Greeny relic and it sucks. It’s not even near the Greeny color, the pickups are not correct, and no effort was made to set it up correctly. It just looks like crap. I’m more disappointed because Cathy built me an Epiphone Greeny “new” similar to your specs and I love it. Now it appears her website has been taken down. Anyone know??
