I love this restaurant and the food there is delicious 🍲🥟🥢🍹 One of the very few Chinese restaurants in our city that offer vegetarian options in their menu, I love Mainland China's grilled mushroom bao - my all-time favorite! 😍 From their mocktails... my favorite is the Piña Colada (the one you just had in the video)🍍🥥 I last paid a visit to this restaurant before the spread of this virus pandemic and I might have plans to take a friend and a cousin out there for my birthday next month 🎂🎈

On a serious note, its General Tso's chicken. And guess what, it's not an authentic chinese dish. It originated in taiwan after the chinese revolution and later it was heavily americanized just like tex-mex foods. General Tso was a legendary home town hero of the creator of this dish. So, he named it after him.

Eta kintu authentic Chinese na. NONE of the dishes that you are having would be recognizable to a person actually from the Chinese mainland. Ei restaurent chain ta Bombay te Anjan Chatterjee shuru koren, Nelson Wang er dekha dekhi, to serve 'authentic Indian Chinese' food. I have taken Chinese guests from China to their branch in Ballygunge, Kolkata. They ate with relish, got moderately drunk on the innovative cocktails, and when leaving, thanked me for a great 'Indian' meal!

Case in point : General Tso's (also called Gao's / Tao's / Cho's....) chicken. The real dish, of Taiwanese origin, is NOwhere near the Mainland China version, in presentation, colour or taste. Then the fried rice - you cannot pick up the sort of rice you have been served with chopsticks - the rice needs to be sticky rice. Mainland's Thai food, on the other hand, is more or less authentic because half their clentele have actually been to Thailand and eaten the real thing. (BTW the real General Tao, in whose honour the dish was created, died only recently - in 2015 or so If I am not wrong).
