Just some quick thoughts on the BC motorcycle wheel stand / chock that I added to a Harbor Freight lift table. SKU: SKY2725

I have this same table and chock. On the front lip of the table there are 2 holes. I used these to mount a piece of 2" angle iron, top angle even with the table top. That lets me mount the chock 2" further forward, using the bar/eyebolts that came with the chock. I drilled 2 holes down through the bar (actually, square tubing) and the angle iron, and bolted the front, so I can use the eyebolts to strap the front of the bike down, and bolted the rear to the table as shown in the video. I also drilled a hole on the edge of the overcentering part, and attached a small bungee strap, so to always hold it open until a bike is loaded into it. The commentator above talks about making sure it is in the open position to load.

That looks exactly like the one harbor freight sells in that store for $59.99 - 47.99 with -20% off

Harbor Freight sells this chock as well, got mine for $57 shipped with a coupon. Don't have a lift yet but it was VERY nice when transporting my bike in the bed of my pickup. Left it free-floating for loading and had no problems driving the bike right into the chock, made strapping the bike down by myself a breeze and greatly increased the stability of the bike while traveling. Attached a couple of cheap straps from the eyes on the crossbar to my pickup's tie points, not for security, just to make it easier to roll the bike back off the chock without the chock sliding back with the wheel. Definitely will be looking at mounting this to a lift table when I get one. I've already used the chock stand-alone to mount a skid plate since I don't have a center-stand and needed to take out a side-stand bolt for the skid plate mounting bracket. I bought several washers to slide over the rods inside the frame of the chock to take out the side-to-side play in the backstop and the pivoting section. Fantastic chock for the money!!! Nice buy on the lift!

FYI, you can actually get that wheel chock from HFT. I have two I got from them. One I bolted to my trailer deck the other I use in my garage.

Just seeing your video and like that wheel chock, but I can see that I will have to extend it past the table a bit in order for my Victory Cross Country Tour to fit on that same table lift! I bought the same HB table lift and haven't put it together yet (have to finish man cave/garage first!) plus I will be modding it out with new larger pneumatic lift pump before using it! My bike weighs close to 1k lbs.....will be adding 2x6 boards on side to extend width as well! I'm nearly as large as the bike! Lol

Your bike looks outstanding! I shop the crap out of Craigslist too Rob. I bought all of my Milwaukee M12 + batteries from CL except my ratchet. Great price on the lift and that's a pretty damned good mod.

Craigs is evil and wonderful all at the same time. Sooo much money spent on stuff that I might not have really "needed" at the time, but was to good a deal to let go.

I can relate. I've bought things because they were a great deal...not that I needed them at the time. LOL

It is $75 for now (June 2022) which is 36% more expensive. Thanks to Brandon.

Gratz on getting a lift that cheap

Had one of those chocks from HF. MC tires stick to it and is hard to back out. Maybe paint it with crinkle paint or something.

Nice review, just bought one too! Will it hold small 50cc bikes with scooter wheels?

Hard to get out of it. Bad desing cause of the pin that goes through the rear support. Its like trying to pull back over a speed bump while over your bike.

I just got same one. Is it OK to let it just sit on my garage floor with my 1200 sportster in it. I do not want to drill holes in my garage floor to mount it?

I like it 👍 Would you happen to know the wheelbase of this bike ? I have a FXSB Softail Breakout @ 67.3" wheelbase / overall length 96.3" ; I'm wondering how well it will fit on this lift table

Look around KZbin. You will find guys with Dressers up on this table.

Jeff I’ve had mine close to 2 years now . It holds my FXSB Breakout , with an add-on wheel chock , which extends beyond the length of the lift . For the price , this lift is fantastic. I’d recommend it to anyone.

On mine, I've had an '81 FXE, an '08 Road King, an '86 Softail Nostalgic, an '06 Softail Springer, and a '05 Proper Chopper (34° rake) all without any problem

The question is: How do you unmount the bike from the week chock.?
@OneLifeDefenseLLC2 жыл бұрын
Its a bitch. Good luck unmounting a bagger. I use the same chock for hauling and its a job to get the bike back off.

Mounted it to the front not the back no bueno lol common sense I would think

Thanks for the Video. Will a 21" front tire fit on the chock? You mentioned you had a Sportster on the lift which has a 21" front tire. I just started installing the same wheel chock on my HF bike lift and noticed that your front tire looks like an 18" or so. My Softail has the narrow 21" front tire. Thanks.
@averageguyantics4096 жыл бұрын
My 21 sportster wheel fits and my wifes ninja 250 with a 17 wheel works as well. Just have to move the back stop piece to fit whatever wheel is on the bike.
@williswet6 жыл бұрын
I set up my HF lift exactly like yours with the HF wheel chock (same as yours) and my bikes with 21" tires roll up onto the chock perfectly. I tried my old Suzuki DR 350 before I tried my '03 Softail. It's a great lift now. Thanks so much for the tip! Rob.

Even though the overcentering piece has only the one hole for it's axle, you can drill holes further back in the sides to adjust it back for larger diameter tires

How is it to remove the bike. easy or hard.

It would be better to point out that this is not "best." Just one of the acceptable for an elevator. Good luck!

Does the front stop plate come off if I want to remove the front tire? Example... if I strap the rear of the bike and put a jack under the front of the frame to jack it up can I remove that plate, pull out the front axel and roll the front tire off the lift? Thanks
