Just remember to decide on how fussy you want your rune substats to be based on how much energy you can realistically spend. Let's say you want to go for slot 6 hp% with the starting substats of 6 speed, 7-8 def%, 7-8 atk% and 7-8 accuracy%, then the odds of that are (4!/10C4) * 1/3 * 2/4 * 2/4 * 2/5 = 0.38%. This means you'll have to reroll 280 times on average. And then to get the two rolls into 18 speed, the odds are 1/4 * 1/3 * 1/4 * 1/3 = 1/144, which is 144 rolls on average. So that's 280*150 + 144*50 = 49200 energy for one rune and 98400 energy for 2 runes. If you have enough crystals for that, then it's reasonable to be that fastidious with your starting substats. Otherwise, the budget alternative is to aim for the substats of 6 speed, any%def, any%atk and any%accuracy. This will give you odds of (4!/10C4) * 1/3 = 3.8% which is only about 28 rolls on average. So that'll be 28*150 + 144*50 = 11400 energy per rune or 22800 energy for both runes.

So to sum up, if you get your points mainly from energy use, then for the first scenario, you need to spend 1640 energy per day over 2 months. For the second scenario, you need to spend 380 energy per day.

I am limited on speed subbed slot 4 HP runes for will and violent for siege (am G1), but I also am low on a needed slot 4 and slot 6 despair rune with speed grinds for RTA on my Moore/Nephthys/Joegun (I like despair over violent)/couple other units. My current RTA rank ranges between F3 and mid C1. Got a few other things I wanna work on, but I'm trying to focus on 1 thing. But I would like to try and finish C1 in regular arena for interserver, if any of my rune situations would help with that too. I know it's hard to go by only what I say here, but any insight would be great! Danimal

Its an ok pick up, generally you want to aim for speed on these runes. If you're focused solely on that CD Slot you want Crit/Spd/Atk/Hp w rolls into either Crit or Speed.

My understanding of which stats to chase for for which rune really improved a lot from your re-app video. Really thankful for the effort in that video! :) I guess the fundamentals apply to which sub-stat to pick for the runes as well. Definitely going for a violent slot 2, that like usable in the majority of units in most accounts. As for a general purpose slot 6 hp%/atk%, for most ppl, do you think it's better to go for vio or will? Since vio-will is like the default configuration for most pvp content unless otherwise stated right 😂But swift and despair is often paired with will as well. So does that mean will slot 6 has more overall use cases?

I have a 7 day old account and I wanted to know what rune would speed up my progression into the game! I was leaning towards a swift hp% slot 6 with +6 Speed +6-7% Def +6-7% Attack and +6% Accuracy. Probably Swift Atk 6 and CD Will 4 for newer players that dont want a vio rune.. Generally I would still suggest an HP Vio 6 and a CD Will 4 though. Farming arena at low levels is about having a 1 monster defense and just refreshing it throughout the day to get all your wins :)

On my main account i have basically everything finished and just chill in rta, but for my 30 day account i consider going to take 2 runes for my r5 bale. maybe one speedier one for later pvp usage and one slow but high Dmg (ever since bale shouldnt be too fast). I thought about a slot 6 att % with cd cr att spd (fokus on cd cr ) and slot 4 Cd with spd att def hp (with fokus on spd and atk%) u think this a good idea? or should i just take pvp runes for the sake of god since bale isnt too hard to build anyway? i cant decide, would be happy if u can help me some with this

Slot 6 attack should drop CD for hp%, you can regem CD onto it later, but if it goes bruiser style it's better to not have CD :) Slot 4 I would focus on Spd HP

Right now I am building my tricaru team and then brj5 team. I think I need a super good rage set for verd and for bale. I almost definitely need better slot 4 rage crit damage and either slot 6 or 2 atk%. It's totally okay to take 2 runes for 1 unit becuase those runes are flexible but I would take Spd 2 and HP6 if you want to use a Spd 2.

One point on why you might not want to choose slot 2 speed, is because Predator boss will drop slot 2 speed runes with the stats you want. Just might not be the type you want.

Question: After farming nb12 for the past month, ive yet to get my hands on a decent rage set, my lushen can only hit for 10k a card while being "fat" and my verdehile holding my best rage set while keeping 100 crit rate is only at a measly 1.7k attack and 230% cd, is it worth going for a rage CD rune focusing on crit rate and attack? Hey man! Hoping you can help and advice me as well! New account here just over 2 months of playing started playing again due to the generous rewards from the 8th anniv event and because lnd starters (Shan) are on an all time low. So I'm already at 15k points and probably landed on a okay-ish~decent subs for the 1st time. Still only on giants12 clearspeed just a lil over a minute and don't want to farm D12 until I can get it down under 1:45 minutes. Also trying to break rift beasts but seems Eirgar is the key there and still missing 320 coins. Trying to improve either Shan or Savannah with my choice below: So I took Switf Slot 2 - Speed for my 1st rune. Got 8% Resist/ CritR 6 / HP% 8 / Acc 7. Planning on rolling it on on CritR then convert resist to a much more offensive stat CritD or Attack, or still wait to get 4 out of 4? I lucked out on Swift Slot 4 CritD that rolled thrice to Atk%(25+5) and once into Atk + sigh but still an offensive stat, HP% then gemed CritR and a Swift Slot 6 Atk % that rolled thrice into Speed 20(Can immo it for a +4-5 but saving it for a quad or should I?) bit low roll I supposed then once into acc(12), rest of stats atk + and hp still thinking of converting one of them into critD. Some more notables I got(For Shan-Vannah) are those blades rune(hero) slot 3 and slot 5 that both rolled thrice into critR 24 both but no speed sub. xD So, I figure to go for Slot 2 Speed to complete the trifecta of main stat legend rune/high quality. Then will piece 1/3/5. Thank you!

I genuinely think that both of these units are better off using both Violent and Will runes in 99% of content. (Use that grind on the swift rune imo, you wont get over 20 speed for awhile on Slot 6) Also when it comes to building units, having 1 incredibly well runed unit and 4 subpar ones just means that your team (as a whole) is only as good as the 4 subpar ones. Its like having a +220 speed bernard, but all your units are too slow to keep up so you just get cut and die anyways. You're always better off building teams and looking at things from the bigger picture instead of tunnel visioning on having 1 insanely good unit! I think your best bets are Hp6 / Cd 4 on Vio / Will for your general account and as well for those units in particular.

I am still working on pve (GB12,toan,toah,DB12 done). So as you said at the end of the video. I mostly want to make a pve rune. Now im busy 2A ing 3 icarus. And I tried to test builds in the optimiser but cant get the 3.3k def yet. (Would crafting a determination/guard rune be an option?) I'm also working towards bj5 bale runes. My plan was to go for a will cd slot 4 and try to get high atk%+cr+hp%+def%. Because as you said it might be better to go for a rune thats also useable in pvp later. I think will slot 4 cd is one of those right?

Tbh, if you want the multi-use I'd probably go Will CD Vio Atk6, or swap them. It's more efficient to go 18 spd on both, but you could aim 18 crit on the CD if you really want. (The thing is, it's so impossibly hard to get 30 speed that this is literally the best chance you'll ever get)

I think Desp Crit 4 and Swift Atk 6 is viable. Desp Crit 4 is probably the most usable out of the despair slots with only 18 speed and 2 rolls into stats.

I would suggest making a stable R4/R5 team before trying to get into a solid DB12 Tricaru setup. NB12 -> Basic R4/R5 is going to make building Tricaru in general a lot easier I dont think a fight rune is worth, but some people will argue against that.

I’m currently on a rage broken set with +70spd, +1800 atk, 90%cr and 205%cd. I guess I could replace my slot 6 for a better speed and crit damages in the substats. Don’t you think? I have personally never used a Rage lushen for PvE, only Swift and sometimes Fatal (or broken sets). I dont think this is worthwhile unless you 100% never plan to do PvP in the game.

If you're strictly going for Tiana, raw speed on CD and Atk are totally viable. Likely a Will CD Slot 4 and a Swift Atk Slot 6 If they don't triple/quad speed you can still use them in tons of different places (Lushens, Bruisers, Siege Offenses etc)

100% not -- In the later game of Tricaru, Determination is the least ideal set, Fight Runes become the most efficient or Guard runes for selfish doggos. You're better off getting Rage for Verde (even tho I dont suggest it) You can also use really good vio/will/broken sets for your Verde. Mine is on Rage (1 Will 1 Vio) right now.

Heck no Man U can use a blue rune with defense for that.. plus when u get to late game your going to want to change your tricaru to fight sets or crit rate crit damage icaru lol

Naw, you can farm up basic determination runes (use 1/2/4/6, unless you get 20%+ def on 3/5) and then utilize grinds from a basic R4/R5 team to get your Tricaru running. PvE focused runes from these events really are a shortsighted view.

I went with a slot 2 violent spd bc I'm severely lacking on those, I went with my 2nd roll bc it got max atk%, def, hp and cr...unfortunately it rolled 4 cr and 5 atk

It's less desirable since you can find it as - Innate Stats 4-6% - On Slot 1/2/3 as a Main Focused Substat (mainly 2, because you can find speed on 1/3) 6-24 per rune realistically - Innate on 4/5/6, or rolled into once or twice on 4/6 Generally the raw grindables are going to be more efficient than running crit as a focus, but it's NOT A BAD line to take if you need it more :)

Is it worth it, for us early game dweebs, to go for rage runes to get a better monster for dungeons? I can farm gb11 and db11 quite fine, but haven't been able to keep that consistency with the b12s. I thought maybe getting rage runes on lushen for one shotting waves easier may have been the play here, but second guessing myself now and may shoot for something that'll be used everywhere.

I wouldn't based on the logic you're giving me. B12's are really about getting safe methodical teams (Dot teams w/ vero for example in GB12) If you really want to pick up a dmg focused rune, I'd probably do a Will slot 6 atk or cd 4.

Its a pretty terrible idea. You would be better off making a will and rage rune, rage cd will atk 6

You dont need GOOD determination runed to do Tricaru, grinds and gems honestly help more than anything else (now that Artifacts are a free 200 atk for verde and 200 def for Icarus)

You want to roll for 18 Crit, 7+ Atk/Hp/Def ideally. The rolls you currently have are too low imo. -3hp, -3cr, -1cd

I've had this super shitty despair rune on my Juno for so long. it was a hero rune with 13 speed, 13% hp, 16% crit and 546 flat hp. those stats are pretty low in and of themselves........ but the fact that THOSE ARE THEIR GRINDED STATS MAKES ME PUNCH MY SELF EVEN MORE! I USED A HERO DESPAIR SPEED GRIND ON A 9 SPEED RUNE!!!!!!! so again, I have had this on my Juno for so long, and I am just now noticing how shit it is. so now with the event I am wondering if I should just try to replace it........ but the thing is, it is a slot 1 rune, and I don't know if I should waste my time on it or go for a better slot 2/4 (already did slot 6) rune.

Are you building your teams as a team and not randomly building each unit? Speed Tuning, Min Acc on Debuffers, Turn Order, Correct sets?

Last rune event I got 18 spd rune and next to rolls on res.. I selled this crap. Always the same. After 6 years I don't have any rune with more then 18 spd. And not even one rune with 2 subs higher then 20 and 95% subs aren't compared to each other. Sad game

Kinda sad, resist can be a really good or cohesive rune depending on what your mainstat is. I think you gotta reroll it to have no resist on starting stats if thats your curse :(
