I don't get why Lilbet's ChSq was scored higher than Alina or Rika's... I think she was scored very generously on the artistic components because she was able to land a quad.

Kaori and Satoko were artistically stronger imo. Satoko receiving only the 5th best PCS score is very disappointing

Rika's choreo sequence is so underrated. Kaori is just heart eyes 😍 For me it goes like: 1. Kaori- seriously the best, the way she goes into her 3Lo after it. Just magical 2. Rika - matches the music, the ways he moves is so elegant and powerful 3. Satoko- beautiful, elegant, emotional interpretation 4. Alina - hectic, complicated, lots of footwork 5. Evgenia - seemed a little empty to me. I like 3Lo after it. She has good intepretation and matched the music well. 6. Elizabet - similar to Alina's, not very much of interpretation, I didn't feel anything fowards that.

The Japanese love spirals and they did very well. I won't call it a ChSq in Evgenia case, maybe she put it in the entire performance, it's quite hard for me to determine where the ChSq is while watching her so I think the judges just gave points in place that can be given. In Alina case, she should better not do the spiral again. Japanese > Elizabet (Arabesque saved her this place) > Alina > Zhenya

Beautiful KAORI~~~~~ Seriously.. that's the best choreo sequence I've fallen in love with. Like.. before this, I didn't even know the difference between stsq and chsq and now I KNOW and the music, the speed, the flow... the SUNSHINE of Kaori's chsq is forever etched in my mind... I mean.. I do acknowledge that +4 was good and it didn't deserve full +5 across the board due to the level of execution in terms of aesthetic body position and flexibility but man.. the feeling!!! the feeling it evoked when the musical ascent hit, pure magic. Her smile was the best... :D :D :D For the joy it brought me, +10 !!

kaori's is my favorite... yet at the same time I don't like her spirals lol, her arabesque is okay but the step down she does before the catch foot spiral is what ruins it for me. She also doesn't hold it long enough for it to be impactful, but that's just my opinion

What I think is pathetic, is that figure skaters today can’t do a decent spiral that lasts longer than 2 seconds. When it comes to spirals I’ll take Sasha Cohen over every figure skater currently competing.
