Hello Susan. I hope your Bahasa Indonesian lessons are going well! There are many people saying you should visit here, visit there in Indonesia, but if you really want to experience the modern ‘Dutch Indonesia’ you need to go to Ambon in Maluku. Here you will find many people, mostly older of course, who speak Dutch and have Dutch names. The Molukken people of Holland, many in kampung Assen, have their heritage from here. Gio van Bronckhorst is probably the most famous. It is not Bali, no modern resorts or beach clubs, but I think you would find it very interesting. And yes, there is internet!

Hi Susan how are you ? my advice is to try and find Indonesian regional specialties in Bali, for example Sop Konro , Coto Makasar , Rujak Cingur, Cwie Mie Malang , Pempek Palembang , Mie Aceh etc.😁
